My Favourites: February Edit

It's that time of the month again. The time where I sit down and write one lengthy blog post about everything I've loved this month. February was filled with a lot of skincare which I've covered in many a blog post throughout the month so I've tried to pick out the products I haven't sang the praises of already. To mix things up, I've thrown in a few fashion favourites and a tv show I can't stop watching. Grab a tea and enjoy!

1. FRESH Face Masks*:

Kicking things off with skincare, you guys know how much I love FRESH and in particularly their face masks. This month, I've been testing the Black Tea Instant Perfecting Mask* and it's just a sensation. Ultra cooling, smells divine, refreshes the skin, awakens the senses and hydrates. I've been using this as a mid-week treat when my skins feeling a little under the weather and it's an instant pick me up.

2. GLOSSIER Milky Jelly Cleanser:

I've spoken about this before and I'll speak about it again. Hands down, this is one of the best cleansers I've ever used. The thick jelly/gel like texture works wonders at lifting makeup off the skin, giving skin a squeaky clean feel without being drying and leaving my face feeling super soft. The added rosewater gives a lovely fresh scent in addition to giving skin a major hydration boost. I've nearly worked my way through this bottle and need to order a back up!

3. Neals Yard Bath Salts:

Bathing got so much better than I started adding in two spoonfuls of these purifying, cleansing and relaxing bath salts. Added into my bath before bed, they have been the perfect way to help me unwind in the evenings as the lavender essential oils fill the room with a heavenly scent.

4. Talika Eye Masks*:

I'm a complete avid user of eye masks and if I can, will apply some everyday either in the morning for a 10 minute refresh or in the evenings after a long day to help cool and de-puff. I've recently been introduced into these decompress masks from Talika, a brand I haven't tried before but am super impressed by. Unlike any other eye-mask I've tried, these come with a compressed mask that you drop into a hydrating lotion then apply directly over both eyes, letting the Japanese Camellia petals soothe and help reduce dark circles and puffiness. I've used these a few times now and my eye area definitely appears much brighter after use. It's a yes from me to the Eye Decompress!

5. & Other Stories Structured Cross Body Bag

It's the bag I've been waiting for from the colour, shape, style and size. Cross body bags are definitely my go-to on a day to day basis when I don't need my laptop (that's when the tote comes in). This wine coloured, structured, boxy cross body from & Other Stories that comes with a wide strap has been loving on my shoulder this month. Big enough for a purse and book if needed, it fits all of my everyday essentials in perfectly and styles up any casual contemporary look.

6. Topshop MOTO Black Straight Leg Jeans

2018 is the year of denim for me and the year I get a strong straight leg collection going. After many a research and try on, the style that work best for me is the Topshop Straight Leg and after loving my blue raw hem pair, I picked up the black version without the raw hem for a smarter more modern look. They've got a enough stretch in them to allow movement but not so much they go baggy on the knees and need to be washed after every wear. The combo is just right and I've been styling these with a leather ankle boot or trainer, a loose shirt or simple top and an oversized coat.

7. Avène Hydrance Emulsion*

On days of redness, blemishes or extra dry-ness, I try to keep my skincare to a minimum and this light-weight lotion from Avène has saved my dry, dehydrated skin sorrows. Enriched with their Thermal Spring Water, it helps to combat moisture loss, amping up the glow and clearness of my skin.

8. Lipstick Queen Medieval Lipstick

Lip tints and tinted lip balms tend to be the only things I use on an everyday basis purely down to ease, wear-ability and how hydrating they are. FRESH Sugar Lip Treatments are definitely a firm favourite of mine but this recent discovery from Lipstick Queen has been perfect for when I want a bit of extra colour without wearing a full on matte, heavy duty lipstick. Enriched with Vitamin E it's incredibly moisturising, applies super easily with the bullet or a lip brush and stays locked in place. The colour is a beautiful deep red that applies sheer and blends out to a really natural see-through stain.

9. Blink Brow Pencil*

There's a new brow pencil from the brow gurus themselves, that you've got to try. This double ended pencil and brush has been the base to naturally defined and full looking brows for me in February due to it's wax based formula that adds colour to the hairs without leaving colour on the skin. To make it even better, the pencil is super creamy and blend-able meaning it spreads evenly through the brow for a natural finish.

10. Friends

Friends coming to Netflix was a moment we have all been waiting for and it is definitely a top top top highlight of my month. I've started watching it from the beginning, am about 3 seasons in and put my hands up and say, I am completely obsessed - it's on in the background in the mornings when I'm getting ready, when I'm eating and I always get at-least 3 episodes in pre-sleep. My thoughts have been taken over by Friends, day-to-day life is compared to what the Friends characters would do and I'm always ready for a new episode. Too much? Never. Taken over my life? Quite possibly

After writing this sat in my flat with no heating and watching it snow out the window, my hands are numb and I need another cup of tea. Hope you enjoyed and let me know what you've loved this month and if you are just as addicted to Friends as me....
