Everyday Beauty Staples

We all have the products that we reach for most days if were sticking to the basics and not slapping on anything toooo fancy. For me, these products are the ones that give my hair a shine, my cheeks a glow and keep my lips hydrated. You can't beat the every day staples...

If I know I've got somewhere to be the next day then I'll wash my hair the night before and usually reach for the Aussie Miracle Moist Shampoo and Conditioner. I love how nourishing and hydrating these are for my hair but at the same time give me a touch of volume to liven things up. So the morning after washing my hair then I add a few spritz's of my Toni and Guy Rough Texturising Spray to give me volume, oomph and a subtle shine. Not only is my hair oozing with shine, it's full of volume that will stay all day.

Another everyday product for me is my LUSH Bubblegum Lip Scrub. If I'm going to be wearing lipstick all day then I want to make sure my lips are clean, buffed and smooth to ensure easy application.  If you have dry lips like me then this lip exfoliate will be your new best friend and will soon be part of your everyday routine. Not only does this do great things to your lips, it tastes incredible and you can get away with eating the left over sugar on your lips, although I'm not sure your supposed to... Don't say I told you to.

My morning cleanser of choice at the moment is my Antipodes Hallelujah Cream CleanserSince I first brought this I cannot get enough of it, I use it every morning and every night for a deep clean and a dose of hydration. For a seriously quick clean this is great, it works effectively in seconds and leaves my skin feeling soft and dirt free. With my new Antipodes cleanser, came a the Antipodes Divine Face Oil. You would've seen me talk about this one a few times on the blog now so I'll just tell you what you need to know - hydration booster, radiance revealer and dark spot mark zapper in a bottle.

When the hair and skin are done, it's time to play with makeup. I'm always going in with a primer these days just to keep my makeup on that extra hour and I am mixing between two newbies that I am testing at the moment. Both are illuminating, glow giving and hydrating and they go by the names of Elemis Pro Radiance Illuminating Beauty Flash Balm and Lancome La Base Pro Hydra GlowI love the NARS Pure Radiance Tinted Moisturiser for every day use as it evens out my skin tone with it's light coverage and adds an all over subtle glow. For the dark circle days, you can't beat good ole' Benefit Erase Paste. This is a much loved product of mine that melts into the skin and hides any signs of tiredness or late nights. Ya'll need a pot of this.

I'm still reaching for my Kevyn Aucoin Creamy Duo for a natural contour and a goddess like highlight. I can't get enough of this cream formula and how easy it is to apply, no fuss, no mess and no obvious fake cheekbones. Although this adds definition and a shadow, it isn't obvious or over powering, keeping things summery and light. To add some natural colour I'm obsessed with Kevyn Aucoin Creamy Blush in Tonsoleil which really is the most beautiful peach-y blush out there and comes with the same buttery formula as the duo.

To finish things off I add a bronze eye with my Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadow in Birthday Suit and if I'm keeping my lips totally nude then I'll squidge on some Dr Lipp Original Nipple Balm for an intensive treatment or if I want something light and peachy then I'll wear my By Terry Gloss. With a spritz of Prada Candy (and some clothes) I'm ready to go.
