The Best High End Brands

When it comes to rummaging through my makeup stash, there is a lot of high end bits in there which stand out over the drugstore picks. The majority of my collection now is high end, don't get me wrong, I love a dupe or a budget buy when I find one, but if I'm buying makeup then I love splashing the cash as I know it's doing my skin a world of good and I'm not adding anything nasty onto my face. Between all of the incredible high end brands out there, their really is so much makeup to choose between which becomes a bit of a task after a while and you can find yourself trying to choose your next foundation for days. Since I struggle with this daily then I thought I would put together a little guide on what brands I recommend and think all beauty fanatics should try, whether you're just starting out or looking to expand your collection...

NARS | By far one of the best high end brands out there and I would say NARS makeup is on the more luxurious side of things. With a blush in every colour possible and a lipstick in every finish, application and shade imaginable, NARS have got your S/S and A/W face sorted and you will have a makeup bag full to the brim of products that enhance your natural beauty and make you dazzle in the areas you want to. If you're after some new high end makeup and don't know where to start, then this is where. Head into SpaceNK and have a NARS raid. My top recommendations from the brand would be the Velvet Matte Lip Pencils, Laguna Bronzer, Dual Intensity Eye Shadows and Orgasm Blush. Happy Spending.

ESTEE LAUDER | Out of all the brands I've mentioned in this post, Estee Lauder is the one I want to explore more. I have the least products from EL, purely because I get toooo obsessed with one brand and then tend to stick with it but recently I've not only been trying new brands but have been going back to old favourites and replenishing my collection with some new products. New in from EL we have the Bronze Goddess collection which is released every year and some staple products you can't beat include the BB brush on glow and their huuuuuuge bronzer compacts.

BENEFIT | From cute minis to lavish bottles of product, Benefit is a fun, enthusiastic and exciting brand to try out. With a selection of boxes available based around their famous blushers, Benefit offer beautiful gifts to something to treat yourself to. I'm a bit obsessed with the Cheek Stains at the moment for something fresh and long lasting, but if I was to recommend products, it would be the blushers, cream eye shadow sticks and of course, something you can't not mention when discussing Benefit - the mascaras. Something for everyone.

MAC | For high end beauty but on the lower end of the spectrum in terms of price then MAC is your go to brand. With the best selection of lipsticks available, MAC offer over 100 shades ranging between 9 finishes - there really is one for every one on the MAC counter. Whether you're after a long lasting red or an every day pink, MAC will sort you out. Any beauty blogger or addict who are asked the question 'which brand is best for lipstick?', 98% of the time, MAC will be the answer.

CHANEL | If you're really in the mood to treat yourself and give your makeup bag a make over, then Chanel is a good place to go. Being one of the most luxurious makeup brands out there, they do offer some beautiful products. With a number of limited edition collections being released throughout the year. Chanel are offering you foundations that give you flawless skin, highlighters that make you glow and eye shadow sticks that feel like ice cubes on your lids.

LAURA MERCIER | Anyone who asks me for base recommendations then I send them in the Laura Mercier direction. Famous for her tinted moisturisers, Laura has created a brand that sells beauty for everyone. For the girl who keeps things natural we have a selection of blushers and shimmer bricks which paired with a light gloss gives the perfect summer look or if you want something more heavy duty and of a full coverage, we have the silk creme foundation and a high coverage concealer. One for all in terms of colours, finishes, looks and skin types.

KEVYN AUCOIN | Ummmm so it was kinda obvious KA was going to be featured in this post. Hands down, the best brand I have used throughout my makeup addiction and one I will be continuing to use. With the best cream products out there, Kevyn offers soft glowing blushers and a contour duo to a balmy tinted moisturiser or a pot of magic that does anything and everything imaginable. I cannot recommend the brand enough and if I was to pick one to try out of ALL of these, it would be Kevyn Aucoin. It's a buy now, thank me later kinda thing with this one.

CHARLOTTE TILBURY | Famous for her iconic Filmstar Bronze and Glow, I am a lip cheat lover in the CT world. Whilst Pillow Talk is the perfect my lips but better shade, Ionic Nude makes an ideal everyday colour which goes with all sorts of lip combos. I'm also totally obsessed with her mascara which really does do it all. Volume, drama, length and curl, you name it, the CT mascara does it.

What high end brands do you recommend to try and have you tried any of these brands?
