Beauty Haulin

It would be fair to day that I've been feeling spendy recently. I can't seem to stop myself when I enter a Boots or SpaceNK or when Beauty Bay have a 15% off day. You can't really blame me, it's a beauty blogger and lovers dreaaaaam to get discount on makeup, and it doesn't happen often so we have to make the most of it when it does. Point, justified. So with a few skincare bits here and there and a bunch of amazing beauty products, here's what I've been splashing ma cash on recently.

When it comes to beauty shopping, Boots is always a good place to start. You can find the softest of eyeshadows hiding in amongst the Loreal counter or the most glowing of foundations with Bourjois but for me, I was on the hunt for a bronzer that has been on my list for months, a fresh smelling body lotion and some new skincare. First stop, Soap and Glory. I think nearly every beauty blogger has or has tried Solar Powder - a bronzer duo containing two shades milled down to the finest of powders. If you're looking for a new bronzer, this is a good place to look. When it came to choosing skincare, I knew what I was after, it was just a case of finding the best brand for the job. When I thought of a gentle exfoliator that lightly buffed away at my skin, I thought Super Facialist and I thought correctly... The Rose Hydrate Exfoliator was in the basket within seconds. This soft face scrub is perfect for weekly use when your skin is feeling dull and as though it needs brightening up with roses. The latest skincare hype has to be the micellar water, I think nearly every, if not all brands have pulled one together and released it, leaving us with far too much choice on the shelves. No7 or Garnier? Garnier or Nip & Fab? None. I scooped up the Soap & Glory 5 in 1 Water due to the cooling cucumber and summer melon scent. For a morning cleanse or a post evening cleanse then this is ideal for getting rid of any traces of makeup or excess oils that have built up over night, cleaning my face and re-hydrating my skin. The one place I always take a visit too in Boots is Sanctuary. If you're after a new body scrub, lotion, butter or oil, this is the place to go. They have it all and in the most beautiful of scents. I picked up the Orange Blossom & Green Lemon Body Lotion which really is summer in a bottle. I've become pretty obsessed with body lotions and oils recently and have up'd my game in the body department so for intense nourishment and hydration then I slather this on into my skin followed by a body oil for an extra moisture boost and to make my skin really glow. Excessive, I know.

Sticking to the skincare theme, let's take things up a notch and head into the high end picks. I won't go into tooooo much detail as I dedicated a post to these fab new products yesterday which you can find HERE, buttttt I was feeling spendy and hit the check out button on Beauty Bay a few too many times. Staring with Antipodes, I picked up the Hallelujah Cleanser and the Avocado & Rosehip Divine Oil to cleanse and hydrate my face in two simple steps. I was lucky enough to win a Jurlique competition and won some goodies from the Herbal Recovery range - the Advanced Serum and the Advanced Eye Serum. Both products have transformed my skin and the results are incredible. Buy now, thank me later when your skin is clear and glowing.

Makeup wise I've picked up a fair few goodies recently. Starting with a truly wonderful brand that I cannot stop researching and buying from, we have Kevyn Aucoin. I've become a regular customer to my nearest SpaceNK's recently and spend all my time hanging around the KA counter. Guilty. ANYWAYY. My recent purchase was the Creamy Glow Sculpting Duo which if you're a regular reader then you would have seen me mention this a number of times on JHM already, here, here and here. If there's one product that's been my best purchase so far then it's this. It really has transformed my every day make up routine, giving me the cheek bones I want without looking fake and too heavy. After I'd finished with the KA counter, I header to NARS, a brand I have loved for years and continue to buy from. I've been after a new tinted moisturiser to try for a while now and as I loved this one a long time ago, I thought why not try it again, so I did. The NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturiser in Alaska came home with me. For a light everyday summer base with a light / medium build-able coverage, this is a summer staple. As the weather gets warmer, faces get sweatier and eye shadow begins to slip so an eye primer becomes an essential. The NARS Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base has been a beauty blogger favourite for a while so it had to be done, it was added to my Space-ers bag. ViviannaDoesMakeup made me do this one. It's very rare that I find a product I finish up completley and rush out to re-purchase, so Estee Lauder should be proud of this one. I've become totally addicted to the BB Brush On Glow and don't go a day without striping some on. It's as though my skin has been touched by the glow angels when I wear this, the perfect TM accompany. One last thing... Nipple Balm. A weird one, but a good one. A multi tasking balm that you can use for cuticles, elbows, stray brow hairs, lips, or as the title says, the nipples.

So there we have it, a rather long beauty haul with a bunch of products I've picked up in the last, lets say, 3 weeks? Ish.

What products have you picked up recently?
