3 Favourite MAC Lipsticks

A question that is constantly flying around the beauty world and one I always see on Twitter, is 'What are your favourite MAC lipsticks?' or 'What MAC lipstick should I buy next?'. Us beauty girls are obsessed and rightly so as MAC win nearly every time in the lipstick department. If you're one of the few girls who doesn't own one of their lipsticks, then I'll give you a little info on what to expect... 9 finishes ranging from mattes to high shines and over 100 shades. If you're not sold already then listen up. As you can imagine with over 100 shades, there really is a colour for everyone, from bright pinks to the nudest of nudes and dark reds to the plumiest purples, MAC have you lipstick wardrobe sorted. Each one is incredibly long lasting, hydrating and pigmented, all set at a fairly reasonable price of £15.50.

When it comes to my lips, I'm either rocking a red, keeping it simple with a nude or playing around with a purple so my top 3, are pretty obvious picks... one of each. Kicking things off with my first ever MAC lipstick, we have Rebel, a much talked about lipstick in the blogging community with a huge hype behind it. This rich berry shade is an incredibly intense and pigmented purple with a satin finish that lasts on your lips for hours. Although the shade looks a little scary in the tube, this is actually a really wearable colour that can be worn in the day with a sheer coverage or you can really build it up for a bold lip. The finish of Rebel is what I really love, matte enough to stay in place without smudgin or budgin, but it also carries a lovely sheen with it to keep things hydrated and comfortable. You all know by now how much I love my nude lipsticks and on a day to day basis, I like to keep things pretty natural looking whether it's a balm, gloss or lipstick. One nude I am always reaching for and is probably my most worn lipstick of 2015 so far is Velvet Teddy. I basically live in this lipstick. It's matte, and when I say matte I mean this stuff is seriouslyyyy matte but once you apply it, you'll realise that it's actually pretty moisturising and doesn't stick to any cracks or leave you with dry lips in the morning. This is a great all round nude for the girls or don't mind something on the browner side of things as this doesn't sit on the pinkier nude side of the spectrum, although it does change with different skin tones so if you aren't so fair then this may appear peachier, but for me, it's a dam good brown nude & I love it.

For my red, it's got to be Dubonnet (although it's about time I picked up Ruby Woo for my brighter red). Unlike my other shades, this one holds an Amplified Creme finish meaning it's even creamier but instead of a really matte finish they have a slight sheen to them whilst still having an awesome wear of 8 hours and keep ya lips moisturised. Moving onto colour, Dubonnet is a dark red that stands out from the crowd in terms of the dramatic look it gives and how flattering it is for everyone. This is a great option if you're after a cherry red, perfect for the Christmas party season.
