Weekly Favourites #3
As always, I have been mixing between products this week, using some golden oldies and some newbies. I try to use different products each week to keep my makeup fresh and exciting, and this week I've been loving a budget contour kit, a new favourite highlighter, a smokey brown eye, a pale berry lip and the most perfect pink blush...
I've been very un-spring like with my lips this week, and despite having been loving peachy gloss' and really neutral lipsticks, I've ben reaching for my Kiko Lip Liner in 712, which is a berry plum colour. As these are very hydrating and moisturising liners, you can use them all over the lip which is what I have been doing. Despite this being a plum shade, if you lightly dab it on and smear it with your fingers then you are left with a really light stain which doesn't look too full on or in your face, so still a very wearable shade for Spring. After testing a number of blushers with this lip stain, I found NARS Deep Throat really complimented the berry tone and left a light pop of pink on my cheeks, leaving a really fresh finish.
Having been a contour convert since picking up the Anastasia Contour Kit, I don't go a day without sculpting my cheek bones and adding some definition. In my Boots 'Give It A Go' box, I received this Boots Seventeen Contour Kit* which turns out to be the perfect contour shade. For an everyday contour, this is a really affordable option and one I have been loving! To add a highlight with my contour I'm using my Smashbox Highlighting Wand* in Gold, for radiant cheek bones. For my eye shadow this week I've been using something really quick and easy, swiping on my Kiko long lasting eye shadow stick and using MAC Coffee Eye Liner to line my top lash and smudged it out for a super subtle, natural eye.
