Light Spring Bases
Since the weather is getting warmer and Summer is on it's way, I've been moving away from my heavier coverage foundations and I'm fully embracing the light formula's with a sheer coverage. Up until now-ish I've been wearing my all time favourite; NARS Sheer Glow every day but some other picks have been making their way into my daily makeup bag in the past few days.
For the sheerest coverage of them all, but by far the most beautiful finish, we have the wonderful Laura Mercier Illuminating Tinted Moisturiser in Bare Radiance. This is the tinted moisturiser of tinted moisturisers. I've been using this on and off for nearly 2 years now, getting through a numberof tubes and I am yet to find a tinted moisturiser that beats it. It's been a firm favourite base for a very long time. The coverage is on the much lighter side of things, but it evens out my skin tone, creating a flawless canvas and a gorgeous glow.
For a more build-able coverage and something that is more foundation like, the Bourjois CC Cream is ideal. The light weight formula leaves a beautiful satin finish which lasts all day on the skin and doesn't feel cake-y. For days when I need more coverage, this is what I go for and paired with my Estee Lauder BB Brush on Glow concealer pen, my skin is oozing with radiance.
When my skin is feeling dry or it is lacking radiance, I always go for my Bobbi Brown Moisture Rich Foundation, it is moisture, radiance and good skin in a bottle. The coverage is very sheer, but when I don't have any blemishes lurking on my skin, then the light coverage isn't an issue. The difference in my skin when I wear this is incredible, it is instantly brightened and is full of juicy moisture. The lasting power isn't as good, but with a light dusting of power, you are good to go for the day.
