The Mascara Mix
Having spoken about basically every single beauty product on my blog now, I realised that I have never dedicated a blogpost to my favourite mascaras... outrageous, I know. When it comes to makeup, I must admit that mascara isn't the first thing I think about, I am much more of a blush, highlight and lipstick lover but I do love a good all round mascara that does it all. I have been a loyal fan of the Maybelline The Falsies for a long time now, but I do have some high end newbies which I have fallen for and use on a daily basis now. Let's talk mascaras...
YSL Babydoll... This is definitely one of my most luxurious products and I can tell you now it is very well loved. The iconic gold tube packaging is incredible sleek and glamorous looking and paired with the red writing, it is even better. The wand is fairly thin and makes applying the mascara super easy and quick, 1 coat of this and I am ready to get out the front door. I am completely in love with the formula of this, it's the perfect consistency and evenly lengthens your lashes and makes them super curled. This one is an all time favourite of mine and one I will forever be purchasing!
Benefit Roller Lash... I think we can all agree that this was one of the most hyped about products in the beauty world, everyone was talking about it. Having caved in to the hype, I picked up a mini and this is hands down, one of the best mascaras I have ever tried. The thin wand applies the most perfect layer of the intense black formula and curls my lashes whilst giving me volume and length. The mini little hooks work absolute wonders at gently pulling your lashes up but not clumping any together. The curved wand makes it so easy to really get into the roots and curl your lashes out and I find the wand really suitable for bottom lashes also. All in all, this is a mascara you don't want to miss so go grab one whilst you can ladies and get those lashes rolling!
Charlotte Tilbury Full Fat Lash... I don't think it is actually possible to put into words my love for this mascara. The first time I wore it I had a 'wow' moment and still get one every time I wear it. Signs of a good mascara right there girls. It claims to be a 5 in 1 mascara and I am telling you now that it most definitely is; it gives me volume, curls, lengthens, seperates my lashes evenly and gives a hell of a lot of drama. Instead of the clumpy, thick eye lashes some all in one mascaras give, Charlotte Tilbury has provided you with fluttering feather like lashes. If you're looking for a new mascara then you really need to try this one out, you will not be disappointed girls!
Soap and Glory Thick & Fast... A very different mascara to ones I usually go for, but daymmm was I impressed. The super fat brush gives so much volume to my lashes and really thickens them up. This definitely does create that false lash effect we are all after and it doesn't make my lashes droop like some thick mascaras do, nor does it flake off. Winner.
Maybelline The Falsies... One of my first ever mascaras and has always been a firm favourite in my collection. Out of all the drugstore mascaras I've tried, this has got to be the best, although I do love Max Factor False Lash Effect to... but the falsies just holds a special place in my mascara pot. The wand is curved and of a medium size enabling you to really layer up the mascara without it clumping and you can get right into the outer corner to open up your eyes. Most importantly, the formula is just awesome; an intense colour, thickening, volumising, dramatising and lengthening, everything about it rocks.
