The 5 Product Face

Not everyday is fit for a full face of makeup, sometimes there is no need, sometimes minimal makeup is just much more suited to the day and sometimes it is down to pure laziness. For days when I would much rather have an extra 15 minutes in bed then a quick and easy makeup look with as few products as possible is what I need. As I am a total glow lover then this is a pretty fresh look but perfect for the lazy days when you don't want to be blending in foundation, faking the cheek bones and lining the lips.

My skin has been pretty good recently, I haven't had any nasty little blemishes appear outta nowhere and everything is looking a lot more radiant and 'alive' so I have been skipping foundation and going straight in with a concealer. I must admit, when I am tired, I do get some badddd ass dark circles so to keep them concealed and locked away, I use Estee Lauder BB Brush on Glow which is perfect as it also brightens up my face and adds a super natural glow. To get the entire base covered but still keeping in the 5 product category, a face palette is essential for me. My Naked Flushed Palette in Strip is so so handy and gives me a bronzer, blush and highlight all in one sleek palette. To keep things simple and minimal, I'm going straight in with the mauve pink blush on the apples of my cheeks and then dusting a litttle highlight on my cheek bones, down the nose and on the cupids bow.

With the base finished, it's all about the eyes next. No surprise here, I am using my all time favourite eye shadow pens; Laura Mercier Caviar Sticks and I am using the shade Amethyst which is perfect for natural eyes but still with a little definition. To add alotta volume, curl, drama and length to my lashes then I always go for the Charlotte Tilbury Full Fat Lashes Mascara on my top and bottom lashes. This is one of my all time favourites, the results are incredible. Charlotte has done good with this one.

Finally for the lips... now you're probably thinking hang on a second, there is 6 products in the picture but it's a 5 product routine, confusing eh? Well, this is all down to my lipstick obsession and not being able to choose between a brown nude or a pink nude. Dilemma. For days when I want something matte and long lasting then of course, it's gotta be the NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Bahama, but for when I want something easy and fuss free then the Laura Mercier Creme Smooth Lip Colour in Pink Blush works wonders and is that 'my lips but better' lipstick we all love.

So there you have it, an easy makeup look without those full coverage bases and smokey eye shadows, just radiant skin with a pop of pink on the cheeks and lips and something to make your eyes sparkle. With an extra 15 minutes in bed and not spending ages on a full on look, I am pretty happy with this one.
