Skincare Essentials
When it comes to skincare, we all have our morning and evening routines with our favourite steps and using our favourite products but we also all have our absolute essentials which transform our routine and skin as a result. Whether you are just getting into skincare and need to know what products are most important or if you're after product recommendations, or just generally interested then without further a do, I present to you my essentials...
Cleanser... The most obvious pick of the bunch, but by far the most important. Everyone needs a cleanser, whether you wear a full face of makeup or the bare minimum, we all need something to take it all away and refresh our skin. There is a huuuuge selection of cleansers out there, gel, oil, cream, foam, you name it, the shops have it. I am a sucker for gentle cream cleansers, Liz Earle being a favourite and Aurelia being an ultra luxurious option, but recently the Avene Gel Cleanser has been doing it for me, I like how it is for sensitive skin so there is no chance my skin will become irritated and you can also use it to take off your eye makeup.
Exfoliator... I like my exfoliators to be gentle but effective, not the kind that leave my face looking red as a tomato but something that's going to scrub away anything nasty. The Ren Mircro Polish Cleanser is perfect for this, it has tiny tiny beads which polish away at my skin and leaves my face feeling radiant and rejuvinated.
Facial Oil... The thought of using oil on my face use to terrify me, I thought it would leave my skin feeling greasy and with residue sitting on the surface, but my god was I wrong, oil is the best skincare discovery I have made. Adding an oil into your skincare regime will give you that extra bit of moisture we need and if you apply your moisturiser on top then it locks it in, letting your skin soak it all up. The Ren Omega Oil is one I always come to and is packed with different oils to target different skin problems but I also love using a Rosehip Oil such as the Una Brennan Super Facialist Rose Miracle Makeover Facial Oil
Moisturiser... To really keep your skin in tip top condition, you need a moisturiser. From the weather and wearing makeup, your skin lacks moisture so a good moisturiser will really replenish your skin and boost those moisture levels back up to the top. I like to use a day cream which contains an SPF to really protect my skin and one which is very hydrating. NO7 Beautiful Skin is a lovely budget option, but recently I have been loving the Elemental Herbology Cell Plumping Facial Hydrator and have really noticed a difference in the appearance of my skin since using it.
Masks... My favourite skincare products, for me they are my skin saviours and splurging on an expensive one will be well worth your money. If you have any skincare concerns you want to target whether its dry skin, dehydration, blemishes or oil control then a mask is what will do the trick. There are some great budget masks, Una Brennan Super Facialist being my favourite, however my masks in the Β£20+ price bracket, are by far the best and most effective. One I have been loving to really hydrate my skin is the Elizabeth Arden Intensive Night Mask. Your skin always tell you when it needs a moisture boost which is when this mask comes into use, it is the perfect pick me up for dull skin, I slather it on for about 10 minutes for a spa like treatment at home and a smooth, hydrated complexion. For some serious hydration the Clarins HydraQuench Cream-Mask is a winner and for a rejuvunated, glowing skin, the Ren Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask is a must. If you are interested in picking up some of these products then My Voucher Codes have an amazing offer of 15% off all orders today including Ren, Elemental Herbology and Elizabeth Arden on Look Fantastic.
