Nail Favourites #3
I think I can now say that it is officially spring on JHM now... I've been posting spring makeup looks, favourite spring products and spring corals for the last couple of weeks now so I thought it was about time I talked through my current nail favourites. As we all know, when S/S comes, so do the 'tipex' nails and endless pale pastel shades everyone raves about so I put together a selection, some slightly more on the tipex side and others which are just suitable spring colours.
Kicking things off with a mint green, we have Essie Mint Candy Apple which admittedly, used to be my all time favourite nail polish, I had a weird obsession with it and wore it all the time, but then it got neglected and was replaced. Since rediscovering this, I understand the obsession I once had, the colour is so beautiful for spring and for me, Essie polishes have the best lasting power and remain 'chip free' for a relatively long time.
Next up is a new favourite that goes by the name Eat my Dust and is from the Barry M Speedy Nail collection which was released for spring. If you're into pastel blues then you'll be into this. The colour is a very pale blue which applies perfectly on the nail but you do need about 2-3 coats for a good coverage.
Loreal Colour Riche Nails in Nouvelle Vague is one of my all time favourite pastel nail polishes. It's just the perfect pastel purple which isn't tooooo pale but isn't an obvious purple (if that makes sense) For drugstore nail polishes Loreal do an amazing colour range and the formula's are very similar to Essie polishes.
For the perfect spring pink nail, I always always always go for Nails Inc Kensington Palace Gardens which is a pastel peachy/pink and the summer I first got it, it was constantly on my nails! Nails Inc polishes are definitely one of the best, the brush is the perfect size, the formula isn't at all gloopy and they last ages on my nails without chipping.
I do love my Barry M pastel blue polish but there's something about the Lola Ultra Shine Polish in Bluebell that made me fall in love. First of all, I love the small-ish bottle and the brush is super duper easy to use, making it an ideal polish to apply. The colour is a a very intense finish with a subtle shine which dries very quickly.
Finally, another much loved pink polish; NO7 Stay Perfect Nail Colour in Pinky Pure is a pale baby pink and just a great every day nail polish, not toooo pale but nothing tooo in your face. This is also quick drying and has an ultra gloss finish.
What nail polishes are you going to be wearing this S/S?
