The Budget Face
After featuring lots of high end makeup in my previous posts, especially my 'Todays Face #1' which consisted of a lot of NARS, I wanted to pull together some of my favourite drugstore picks and create a high street only face which is still a look I wear and the products are still of high quality. Here is what has been hanging around my budget beauty bag in the last week or two.
My skin has been wearing
for about a year now, a medium coverage, fresh and dewy base that is affordable and looks flawless. I
love
this stuff. Long lasting and only one pump needed, this is seriously good stuff from the drugstore. Paired with this is the
, the perfect colour to conceal my bags but brighten the area. You probably all guessed that the
would be mentioned in this post as it is one of my all time favourite bronzers. A light dusting of this around my face to add some warmth and we are on to blush, the pink shade, second from the left in my
Makeup Revolution Golden Sugar Palette
is the prettiest everyday blush to give me a natural flush of colour and glow.
Onto a simple metallic eye, I took my mauve shade blush from the Makeup Revolution palette and pressed this onto my eye lids and used my trusty
Maybelline The Falsies Mascara
to add some length and volume. To fill in my brows I used a relatively new favourite, Soap and Glory Brow Archery and combed the hairs upwards to appear more bushy.
Lastly for lips I used my
in Strawberry Pink, a rich and nourishing perfect every day pink. The formula of these is so silky, creamy and they glide on smoothly for an enhanced lip finish.
I actually really enjoy wearing this makeup look and I surprised myself that I could create a full look of makeup using just drugstore products! You really can find some great bargains in Boots!
