Mad for Masks

I am a true believer in face masks and find it so satisfying when you find ones that really do work. Sometimes I am in need of an intense hydrating mask and other times if my skin is feeling clogged up or I have some spots, then I will go for a purifying clay mask.

For when my moisture levels are low and need replenishing, I use Elizabeth Arden Visible Difference Hydration Boost Mask which is a pricy £18.70. I love Elizabeth Arden's packaging and find the 75ml squeezy tube perfect as it is a comfortable size to take away with you. The cream mask has a slightly pinky/greyish tone to it, and feels incredibly rich. I slap a generous amount of this all over my face and leave it to soak in for 10 minutes. The mask does tighten on the skin but not so much it stops you from moving your face freely! To take it off, I use a cotton wool pad, either dry or with some toner/micellar water and pat my face dry. The results of this mask are fantastic, my skin feels instantly hydrated and so soft to touch that I sit stroking my skin! Elizabeth Arden strikes again!

Oh Una Brennan, you have done it again! For 125ml of product and a price of £8.99 this is a great zit zapper, redness reducer and pore purifier! Here it is, the Super Facialist Pore Purifying Clay Mask. This is one for a day when your skin feels a bit poo and some serious spot clearing needs to be done! I apply a thick layer to the areas I need it, usually on my forehead, around my nose and on my chin and leave for about 5-10 minutes. It doesn't dehydrate my skin and the results are AMAZING!!! All my blemishes had gone down to barely being there, a seriously good face mask for the price!

Ren Ren Ren, what a fabulous brand. All of Ren's products are absolutely beautiful and are so gentle and calming on the skin from all the natural oils and essences in them. They have a variety of ranges available to suit skin types and problems people want to target and one I have been particularly loving recently is the Radiance Range. The Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask is so so brilliant! It's a peel mask which removes all dead skin cells, reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, gets rid of black heads and blemishes, all which leave you with a healthier complexion full of radiance. I apply the mask with my fingers and massage it into my skin, leave it on for about 10 minutes then gently remove it with a warm cloth. Your skin will start to tingle and feel a bit weird, but do not panic, it is not stripping your skin, it's just working it's magic! This really is a top mask, it is in the higher price bracket but after trying it I understand why and realised that it is well worth the £30. My skin feels rejuvenated and beautiful. (I didn't have the tube of this on me so used there Resurfacing Concentrate from the same radiance range for the photo!)

Nib and Fab's most recent release was the Dragon's Blood range and it has some lovely products in it, many of which I want to try! One that I did manage to pick up from this range was the Dragon's Blood Fix Plumping Mask. This is a gel mask which has been designed to plump your skin and reduce the signs of fine lines and wrinkles. I really enjoyed using this mask, it felt cooling on the skin and deeply hydrating. I think I have an obsession for masks which give me a radiant complexion as this did just that! Being cheaper than the Ren and Elizabeth Arden mask, this is just as good! A must have for you girls!

What are you go to masks for fresh, problem solved glowing and hydrated skin?
