Three To Try

Taking an Autumnal twist on my product recommendations, I have three Winter skincare products that will transform your routine. I've put the light moisturisers and gentle cleansers to the back of the pile these past few weeks and am introducing nourishing balms, thick moisturisers and gritty scrubs to soften my skin and reveal a winter glow. Having been sitting on my bathroom shelf throughout the start of November, I've got a new cleansing balm that smells heavenly, a cream that doubles up as a mask and a LUSH product you'll all want.

When the weather takes a turn for the worse, my skin decides to also. With the cold mornings, blustery winds and pouring rain, my skins become dehydrated and dry in places so I needed to make a change in my skin routine, starting with cleanser. Moving on from the thick creams, I needed something more intense and nourishing and the new Rodial Bee Venom Cleansing Balm* is the perfect winter cleanser. The luxurious balm comes in a handy pump action dispenser, ensuring a mess free application. When massaged into dry skin the balm really breaks down the makeup and once mixed with water, emulsifies into a milky toner that cleanses and brightens the skin. At £50, this cleanser has some seriously amazing ingredients starting with Bee Venom which works on plumping, brightening and firming the skin. The Jojoba and almond oils work at evening out the skin tone to reveal a more youthful looking complexion.

LUSH Salted Coconut Hand Scrub is a new product I've introduced into my daily body care regime that makes all the difference. Having tried endless body scrubs, foot rubs and face scrubs, I'd never tried a hand scrub so when in LUSH, I had to give it a go. The incredibly fresh scent created by the sea salt and coconut is the perfect wake up smell in the mornings, not only does it help me to relax, it reminds me of the fresh sea air when on holiday. I scoop out a small amount of this each morning and rub together all over the backs and fronts of my hands to smooth and keep supple. The creamy exfoliator helps to keep hands in tip top condition, fighting dryness and deeply nourishing your mitts. The exfoliating sea salt buffs away dead skin cells whilst the coconut oil hydrates and repairs.

Something I've been applying most nights for an intense treatment is the Soap and Glory Beauty Sleep Accelerator*. This peach infused cream guarantees 24 hour hydration with it's powerful ingredients of rose hip and sweet almond oils whilst the milk thistle replenishes, strengthens and firms your skin, keeping it plump and elasticised. This is my go to product for when my skin needs some serious hydration, it's a skin drink and works wonders on giving you moisturised skin in the morning that glows. As a quick skin fix, I sometimes apply a thick layer and leave it on for 10 minutes which revives a dull complexion perfectly.
