The Striped Wardrobe
Stripes have been the base to my perfect wardrobe for a seriously long time. It's an on-going thing that my friends, family and Kai are constantly commenting on - "how many striped tops do you need?", "Jazz is in stripes again" and my younger brother and I most often end up matching in striped tops or shirts for family occasions - it's a look. Striped longsleeves, tshirts, shirts and knits really do make up the majority of my wardrobe and feature in many of my outfits. They're easy, chic, neutral and make a good modern alternative to the contemporary plain navy, black, white or grey wardrobe, without being too bold. I've built a wardrobe of navy, black, red, pink and white stripes that piece together well with jeans for a casual everyday look or navy trousers for the parisian chic. Sling on a longline navy coat, leather ankle boots and you've pretty much got my everyday style.
The Basics
Starting with the t-shirts and long sleeve tops, there's a few shops that I go back to over and over again for my bretons as the quality and fits are always spot on. I always go to Jigsaw and Whistles if I'm looking for a new, high quality stripe that I know will last or for something that has a statement shape; split sides or a contrast neckline. On the lower end of high-street however I always go to Topshop and Zara and I have one 100% cotton striped long-sleeve from Muji that has served me well. Topshop and Zara are great for real basics - plain bretton t-shirts, crew neck long sleeves that are good layering pieces or slightly more modern designs and fits like this cut off Pink & Navy Contrast long-sleeve I picked up in January.

The Knits & Cashmere
There's nothing I love more than a chunky knitted jumper - even better when it has a high neck and stripes. I got this Me & Em Wool and Cashmere jumper for Chirstmas and have worn it so much since with straight leg jeans or tailoring and casual puffa's or a smarter sheepskin or wool coat. It goes with everything and comes with a detachable high neck giving endless styling options. I tend to go pick up my knitwear and cashmere from more premium brands such as Me & Em, Whistles and Jigsaw as I like to invest in pieces that are going to last me for more than one season however Arket, Weekday and & Other Stories also have some amazing high-quality knits that aren't too pricy.

The Shirts
Striped shirts are the last of the stripe in my wardrobe and another piece I opt for on daily basis. I love wearing a loose fitting, oversized navy and white shirt with my favourite raw hem blue denim jeans, white trainers or loafers for relaxed, effortless looking style that's suitable for any occasion. I wear my Whistles Linen Shirt over and over as it's just the perfect fit, feels lovely and can dressed up or down. For a more casual, less office-styled shirt I'll wear my Zara Two Pocket Shirt which is a much lighter and looser option with a v neck and wide collar.
