4 products for a better nights sleep

We all know the importance of a good nights sleep but when your mind just won’t switch off, falling and actually remaining asleep throughout the night can be quite the challenge. There so many lavender scented creams, oils, mists and balms out there today that are all marketed as products to ‘make you sleep’ and having tried a fair few, these are the 4 that I find actually work and have earned a well deserving place by my bed…

  1. This Works Sleep Plus Pillow Spray*

  1. It will come as no surprise that this product is in this sleeping beauty round up, being possibly the most talked about and awarded sleep product on the market. Sleep Plus is a fast acting sleep remedy in pillow spray form that helps improve a steady sleeping pattern. The potent Lavender, Camomile and Vetivert fragrances not only help you relax into a deep sleep but are slowly released throughout the night via motion activated technology, helping to keep you relaxed and asleep for longer. (I spritz this onto my duvet and in the air above my pillows so I’m not resting my face directly onto the Lavender as I can sometimes get spots from lavender).

    2. This Works Stress Check Breathe In Roll On*

A therapeutic and refreshing aromatherapy rollerball stick that I apply to my temples when I climb into bed to help me to relax before I turn the lights off and fully switch off. The 100% natural blend of pure essential oils of Lavender, Eucalyptus and Frankincense invigorate, cleanse, help with mental/physical fatigue and help with insomnia and nervous tension, allowing me to feel much calmer and more soothed before I fall asleep.

3. Neals Yard Remedies to Roll Night Time*

I also use this pulse point roll on aromatherapy blend on my wrists, underneath my nose, behind my ears and chest to help prepare for a rested sleep. Neal’s Yard use a far more relaxing blend of oils including Neroli, Rose and Chamomile which when paired with This Works, creates an intense blend and spa like scent in my room which allows me to fall asleep within minutes.

4. L’Occitane Lavender Hand Cream*

I will always apply hand-cream before bed and I again like to use a relaxing/sleep related scent that will again help me remain fully relaxed and ready for bed. The L’Occitane hand-creams are some of my favourite for their ultra-thick balm like texture that melts into the skin, creating a nourishing protective layer of rich lavender.
