My Favourites: Travel Edition
Kiehl’s Daily Defense SPF50 CC Cream*: SPF is of course the number 1 product when it comes to travelling and having one that doubles up as a skin tint too, makes your bag lighter and morning routine a whole lot easier. This Kielh’s SPF50 adds a lovely sheer and luminous tint, making skin look more awake and youthful.
Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser*: When travelling for a long period of time, a fuss free, gentle and effective cleanser that gets the job done is what you need and Glossier pH-balanced creamy gel is the perfect solution for washing the day away, whether it be rinsing the sea water and SPF off your face or removing a touch of makeup. Skin is left feeling ultra soft, looking clean and it also works well at removing eye makeup, no irritation caused whatsoever.
Bioderma Sensibo H20*: A mini sized toner, micellar water or makeup remover is a travel must have. Perfect for squeezing into your hand luggage wash bag and great for refreshing on a plane, on the go or as a quick morning wake up call. This handy mini from Bioderma soon became a travel staple for me as I found myself reaching for it on our endless flights and boat trips.
REN Overnight Recovery Balm*: In the evenings, when skin has been exposed to the sun all day, a thick and antioxidant rich balm will help to soothe, care for any dryness and restore skins glow. This particular one from REN feeds the skin with lipids to intensely nourish, strengthen and protect the skin.
Weleda Skin Food: Everyone needs a multi purpose balm in their travel kit for soothing the face, dry patches, scars and anything else that needs a little TLC and there is no better option than Weleda Skin Food. It has been my travel saviour and go to product, so much so that I’ve used an entire tube of it. Nourishing, soothing and makes skin look super glossy.
Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Eye Serum Capsules: These tiny little serum capsules are the perfect travel companion as they take up little space and are easy to carry around. Formulated with 9 ingredients that replenish natural occurring lipids, they help to support the skins natural renewal process, helping to de-puff and target early signs of ageing. Bright and moisturised eyes at your service!
Oskia Mini Renaissance Mask*: Ever since I first used this mask I’ve been obsessed and the thought of being without it for 5 months was a stress, so I was super excited to see a mini version. A resurfacing mask that uses natural fruit acids to loosen the bonds between dead skin cells to increase skins radiance and lactic acid to enhance cell turnover. It will leave you with baby soft and glowy skin for the duration of your travels. I’ve been reaching for this once or twice a week depending on how my skin feels and after every use, my skin looks far more luminous and healthy.
Oskia Mini Micro Exfoliating Balm*: Just because you’re travelling, doesn’t mean you can skip out on the exfoliation. This is another mini from Oskia that has not only kept my skins texture up to scratch (incredibly soft day to day) but kept dryness and a lacklustre complexion obey. Massaged into my skin with a sprinkle of water once a week and it’s like I never left my skincare routine behind in the UK.
Patchology Eye Gels*: When traveling for months on end, tired eyes is something you’ll encounter on a daily basis but not when the Patchology Eye Gels are by your side. Wake up, peel open these beautiful glistening gels and place under the eye for an instant cooling effect and pick me up.
Skin Laundry Sheet Masks*: Masking on the go has never been so easy than with a pack of sheet masks and my favourites this trip, have been from Skin Laundry. There’s hydrators, brighteners and anti-agers and all fit the face like a glove, helping to keep skin happy wherever you are in the world. I even slap one of these on mid flight to ensure all moisture is restored and my skin doesn’t look like a raisin when I get off the plane.
Neals Yard Nighttime Remedies to Roll*: Sleeping with no air con, fans or with noise all around calls for a serious need for something to help you drift off and I don’t know where I’d be without my lavender roller ball from Neals Yard. Rolled onto the wrists, temples and even under my nose, I feel so much more relaxed and can fall asleep in minutes.
Soaper Duper Handcream*: This needn’t need an introduction but just know that it smells divine and keeps hands super soft and never sticky.
Briogeo Don’t Despair, Repair Hair Mask*: Intensive, hydrating and soothing, this immense mask from Briogeo has kept my hair far from dry this trip. Slathered all over from mid to ends, hair is drenched in vitamins rosehip and argan oils to restore hydration and add an enviable shine.
NARS Orgasm Multiple: My trusty creamy makeup stick that brings cheeks to life, lifts lids and tints the lips within 10 seconds. The cult classic shade from NARS, Orgasm is universally flattering and adds a lovely pop of colour to the face.
NARS Hot Sand Liquid Illuminator: What’s a holiday without luminous cheeks that glisten in golden hour? My new favourite highlighter ever comes from NARS and in a gorgeous peachy champagne shade that makes skin GLOW.
Glossier Dawn Cloudpaint*: Another liquid makeup product that glides onto the skin and makes cheeks pop. A staple in my travel and at home kit, this orange cheek tint beautifully compliments a bronzed complexion, making it the perfect holiday blush.
Lanolips Tinted Balm SPF30*: Protecting your lips from the sun has never been more fun than with this tinted balm that comes in 4 pretty pink and red hues. Rich in lanolin, this conditioning and silky soft lip balm is super nourishing and adds a soft sheet tint of colour whilst moisturising and protecting.
