My Favourites: July Edition

Welcome to one of my favourite times of the month, My Monthly Favourites. The time where I round up and discuss my best skincare, makeup, hair and other beauty bits from the month. July's edit is overflowing with brightening skincare, makeup for a sun-kissed glow, a body lotion that feels as good as it smells and some hair products that make hair look effortlessly tousled, voluminous and basically as though you've just stepped off the beach.

Moroccan Oil Dry Texture Spray* and Moroccan Oil Beach Wave Mousse*: July has been the month of hair for me, with a new choppy hair cut and more shape to play with, I've introduced so many texturising sprays, dry shampoos, sea salt sprays and wave mousses into my routine, (Sachajuan and John Masters Organics being my favourites sea mists) but the two that made everything ultra textured, bouncy, shaped and 'effortlessly messy' looking, were from Moroccan Oil. The Moroccan Oil Beach Wave Mousse* is first to hit my hair when washed, ran through damp mid-lengths to ends with fingers and left to dry naturally for an undone, beachy look with no sticky, stiff hair strands in sight. Once dry, my hair holds a natural, bouncy voluminous wave and to keep this in place, I style it with the Moroccan Oil Dry Texture Spray* that has such an ultra light, dry, argan oil infused spray, it doesn't leave hair feeling sticky, it simply enhances the grip and volume.

Hourglass Illume Trio Palette: Cream, cream and more cream. Everything one would say/think whilst looking through my current makeup bag. Creamy concealer pots, eye pencils, creamy bronzers, blush and highlighters have been hanging around in my makeup bag for a long time now and this 3 in 1 wonder palette from Hourglass is one I buff into my face everyday. With a warm toned bronze shade that perfectly warms up my face, a peach blush and a champagne highlight, it makes my makeup routines twice as fast and I can top up on the go. On super lazy makeup days when I want everything to look subtle and chic, I blend the bronze and peach shade onto my eyelids to bring out the colour on my face even more.

Origins VitaZing*: Tired of looking at a tired and dull complexion in the mirror each morning? Me too... Until I introduced this multi-tasking moisturiser into my morning routine. It's the next best thing to a suntan, post facial glow and hydrated face in a bottle and energises your skin to the max with it's anti-oxidant rich ingredient Mangosteen, whilst also amping up the radiance levels and mimicking that post vacay glow we wish we could have all year round.

Cowshed Gorgeous Cow Blissful Body Lotion: With legs and arms being out on show for Summer, it's key to keep your skin moisturised, soft and supple. This beautifully scented Moroccan Rose, Ylang Ylang, Blossom, Shea and Cocoa lotion from Cowshed has become my new best friend. It's rich, relaxing and makes skin feel instantly hydrated when slathered on, adding radiance and a floral, woody scent without the sticky/greasy feeling some lotions leave.
