My Daily Makeup Routine

IT'S ALL VERY BRONZY...

The basis of my daily makeup routine hasn't changed much this year at all, I've used the same foundation and favourite cream bronzer each day, I'm just shaking things up with a few different blush and highlighter combo's each day and keeping things fresh with apricot and rose hues. Basically, think glow and bronze and you have my everyday makeup look.

Clean Reserve Fragrance Review

The Scent

Clean Reserve Fragrances are up there as one of my favourites from the bottle designs to the beautiful musky scents they have to offer. Sitting in the wood family, Sueded Oud is fresh and dynamic, providing me with a long lasting scent of temple oud, bushman candle and jasmine.

The Complexion

To prime, I'm back using Dior Glow Maximizer which has sadly been discontinued now but it gives a lovely champagne glow, similar to Becca Backlight Primer. For foundation, I've been using the Hourglass Vanish Foundation, a beautiful cream stick that gives a light, build-able coverage. For morning makeup this is perfect, it takes seconds to buff into the skin with a densely packed chubby foundation brush and gives an even, flawless finish that still appears natural. I haven't been using concealer everyday as this foundation conceals my dark circles on it's own but for the extra tired, dark eyed days, I pat in some of my Laura Mercier Secret Concealer which helps to brighten the eye and fake a few extra hours of sleep.

I'm still bronzing up my cheeks with the Hourglass Sheer Colour Trio, a soft creme to satin finish bronzer that melts into the skin, adding the perfect amount of bronze and definition. Due to it's cream formula, it keeps my makeup looking fresh and dewy, boosting a healthy glow all over. For a bit more colour, I'll apply a light dusting of Delilah Sunset Matte Bronzer to add some more depth. To add a soft flush of colour to my cheeks, I'll use the sheer rose blush shade in the Hourglass palette, Becca Wild Honey for a more bronzed up look or my favourite liquid product, the Grapefruit Becca Beach Tint. Again, my Hourglass Palette comes back out to give a luminous, champagne glow to my cheeks.

The Eyes, Brows & Lips

Eyes this month have been all about ease and so I reach for my Chanel Stylo EyeShadow in Karoube, a smokey bronze, compact crayon that glides on in one sweep for a radiant, fresh look. I'm still on the hunt for the best mascara but Rimmel Wonder'Full Mascara* has been serving me well this month, giving me long, full looking lashes each day. To give my brows some extra definition, shape and colour, I lightly fill them in with IT Cosmetics Brow Power Universal Pencil*, using upward strokes for a natural looking brow.

With the cold weather, my lips have been much drier than usual so most days, I just apply a lip balm and my current favourite is Diptyque but on days where I want some colour, Chantecaille Hydra Chic in Fairy Moss is the one for me, a perfect nude with a sheer, moisturising finish.
