Croatia: Brac, BOL
THE TOWN:
Beautiful Bol; situated on Island Brac, Bol is the heart of the island. With a small marina harbour in the centre of old town, it's an island of small cafes looking over the water front, food markets with beautiful fruit, vegetables, cheese, meats and olive oils, old stone restaurants and houses that wind down the streets and are traditionally decorated with green shutters, vibrant pink flowers and beautiful stone. Everything is linked with narrow stone steps and cosy streets. We were staying in Bol for a week and had an apartment which was a 10 minute downhill walk into town and a 2 minute walk to an untouched, secluded and secret cove with a small pebble area to sunbathe on which opened up into the incredible crystal clear waters of the Adriatic with rocks to jump off and rocky corners making it the perfect snorkelling spot.
Next up: ZAVALATICA, KORCULA.
