A Nude Lip Round Up
FROM NARS TO RIMMEL...
I've always been one for a nude lip whether it's to tie up an everyday minimalistic look, to pull together a sophisticated evening look, a matte, gloss and satin finish or in a a pencil, stick or balm form. There is something about the chic and natural look they give, that I love. I have carried out many a lipstick swatch in SpaceNK to find the perfect shades and after getting through the good and the bad, I've found 5 nude lipsticks that can't do wrong in my eyes.
NARS Bahama Velvet Matte Lip Pencil - The nude lip offering I've been talking about for years and the one I'll always pick when I need something that I know will stay on all night. This matte, richly pigmented pencil glides onto the lip with a non-drying formula that is creamy, super long lasting and seamless to apply. Not the most hydrating of the bunch so slick a layer of nourishing lip balm or lip primer underneath, and you're safe. Bahama is a nude that flatters all with it's pink/brown undertone and a great nude to start your collection with.
MAC Velvet Teddy Lipstick - A nude lipstick round up wouldn't be complete without the infamous Velvet Teddy. A deep beige hue that sits perfectly amongst my other nude lip offerings, the richest of the bunch and definitely one of the most loved. MAC have nailed the finish of this just as well as the colour; sitting in the matte family, it's not going to budge and best locked in place with a liner to ensure the colour stays put all day.
Rimmel 700 The Only 1 Matte Lipstick* - The all in one, major matte lipstick with a perfect balance of colour pop, staying power and all day comfort. Rimmel's latest collection is full of pinks and nude options but 200 is an easy to wear shade that sits more on the mauve side, throwing something a bit different into my nude lipstick mix. It's definitely one for the ultra matte beauty addict as you won't see a hint of gloss or a satin sheen with this one.
Chantecaille Fairy Moss Hydra Chic Lipstick - The incredibly moisturising option that is best for an everyday easy to wear, dusty rose nude. As one of the most recent lipstick additions to my collection, it hasn't moved from my makeup bag since due to it's rich colour, flawless application and papya and orchid extract that gives a satin finish. I wear Fairy Moss with a sheer base, muted blush and a neutral eye for a chic effortless look.
Lipstick Queen Catalina China Town Glossy Lip Pencil - Another lip pencil offering I'm obsessed with and have in three different nude shades but today it's all about Catalina. A comfortable, dusky pink shade and a twist up style jumbo pencil that is perfected with a glossy, sheer finish, ready to be re-applied throughout the day for colour and a treatment.
