Golden Skin And Pink Hues

Recent posts on JHM have been very much skincare based so I thought it was time to add some more beauty posts in the mix and update you on what I have been chucking on my face recently. Although the weather hasn't been all that summery this week, I'm still keeping my base spring-y and light with shimmers, creams and stains. I'm steering away from the much loved coral cheeks and peachy lips and embracing naturally flushed rosey pink cheeks with a buttery pink lip. With a new product that gives me some serious glow and a few old favourites from the drugstore, here's my go to summer look from the past couple of weeks...

Post radiance boosting moisturiser and a hydrating eye cream, I'm ready to give my skin a boost and add an extra layer of hydration and some golden glow. For this, I'm reaching for the Nourish Illuminating Face Shimmer which is a beautiful subtle golden shade that evens out my skin tone and softens my skin with sun kissed radiance. With radiance enhancing extracts, this liquid luminiser is packed full of shimmer particles which highlight skins natural beauty. Containing hyaluronic acid, you are provided with a luxuriously hydrating base that keeps moisture levels high and glow levels maximum. If my skin is feeling a little lacklustre and appears red in places then I'll blend in some of my Bobbi Brown Moisture Rich Foundation on areas that need more coverage. This is an ultra lightweight blend that brings luminosity to the skin whilst penetrating deep to boost moisture levels and bring a dull complexion back to life.

Adding colour into my cheeks recently has consisted of dabbing on some Benefit Posie Tint to the apples and blending in with my fingers or a stippling brush. Whenever I'm wanting to achieve cheeks that appear flushed then I go in with this as it's incredibly light and the poppy pink hue adds sheer tints of colour. Doubling on the highlight and keeping my skin looking as fresh as I can then I pat on some MAC Cream Colour Base in Hush on the tops of my cheeks, down my nose and my cupids bow to bring light to my face and to add to the whole sun kissed skin look. These creamy pots blend beautifully onto skin alone or over foundation and add a really beautiful subtle glow.

Keeping my lips within the same poppy pink hue as my cheeks but wanting something more moisturising than Pose Tint, I go in with the Revlon Lip Butter in Peach Parfait which is rich in hydration and keeps my lips smooth and plump.
