The SpaceNK & Charlotte Tilbury Haul
I've been lusting after some new Charlotte Tilbury makeup for a while now and after seeing blogger after blogger posting photos of there favourite products, I headed straight to the Selfridges beauty haul. I love her lip liners, eye liners and of course, the light wonder foundation but I found Muji drawers were lacking one of her eye shadows, so money as spent. When I'm feeling spendy and want some new beauty bits, I can never resist a trip to SpaceNK so when in London, I headed to South Molten Street and damage was done. I recently spent the afternoon with the two Kevyn Aucoin girls in SpaceNK where I had my makeup done and stocked up on some must have products which you can see in detail here, and as a little gift, they sent me some Kevyn goodies in the post which I am thrilled with. All round, I've picked up some great products recently so thought I would make a mini haul out of it...
When I headed into SpaceNK, I knew exactly what I wanted, one re purchase that had been on my list since forever and a new product that I'd been wanting to try for a while. First off, I picked up NARS Laguna, an old and all time favourite of mine, this is the best bronzer on the market for me as it perfectly warms up my skin and adds a subtle glow. I've recently run out of this product and since it's the only bronzer I can rely on, a re purchase was a must. Although I've recently been using Soap and Glory Solar Powder and for a drugstore bronzer, it is pretty good, I've really seen a difference in how my makeup looks since having NARS back in my life. After using a dark brown NARS eye shadow for my brows for months now, I wanted to try a pencil again to achieve the whole full, natural and defined brow. One I've read a lot about is the Hourglass Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil, so I had it tested on me in store and the results were fab. The wax pencil is incredibly easy to use and it lightly applies colour to the brow without looking too dark or heavy. I've been brushing light strokes through in upwards motion to keep them looking as natural as I can, creating more emphasis on the arch. When set in place with a brow gel, my brows don't budge all day!
Adding to my Kevyn Aucoin addiction, I've been testing some of his eye products which are just as good as his base products. The Essential Mascara* is a jet black formula that is coated onto a slightly curved, chunky brush wand giving an instant lash lift. The wet formula glides onto the lashes, curling them in one easy stroke whilst adding drama and volume. I'm a bit hit and miss when it come to eye liners and find it hard to find one I really get along with, other than Charlotte Tilbury's Rock N Kohl liners, I don't use much else until this Kevyn number made it's way into my bag. The Eye Pencil Primatif* is formulated with a silky soft black pencil lines and defines eyes in one quick stroke, creating an easy eye that looks effortless. The sharp tip is ideal for the upper lash line, making it incredibly useful in creating a strong tight bold line that opens the eye.
After gathering an entire bundle of things, I managed to only come away with one thing from the Charlotte Tilbury stand, Eyes to Mesmerise in Jean. This cream shadow pot is so incredibly pigmented you only need the tiniest amount to cover your entire lid. The mousse like formula glides over the skin, creating an even shadow base that appears champagne in hue and makes your eyes sparkle. For a day to day look, I apply a small amount of this and blend it in all over but what makes it so special is when taking it to night, you can blend in other shades to create something more smokey and dramatic looking.
