Creating a Motivational and Organised Workspace

Having an organised work space and decorative bedroom is key to keeping me motivated and inspired. Whilst at university, I do everything at my desk from planning blog photos, to writing the content to writing essays and completing assignments so for me, it has to be tidy and have everything on it that I need. My on going stationery obsession has lead to a bit of a interiors obsession so I find myself spending too much time on Pinterest searching for desk inspiration far too often. To keep me inspired, I love having prints on the wall in front of my desk and on my desk, I have all my notebooks, calendars, planners and desk pads in one place so I can easily reach for what I need. Every girl needs some desk beauty essentials so a lip balm, hand cream and either a diffuser or candle will always be on my desk, in my marble trays. I find when I'm taking a break from work, I like to have some kind of magazine to flick through so I keep some favourite stacked up on the right hand side, next to my external hard drive, speakers and copper desk essentials. Scattered around my room I have some personalised bits including chocolates as if I'm working, I always need a treat! Here's how I keep my workspace organised and where I like to get my bedroom decor from!

1. Art prints, the best way to fill blank wall space and keep your inspired throughout the day. I love Kate's shop, Nouvelle Daily for both prints and notebooks, I've recently picked up the Flamingo print and the Mint and Gold Planner which is perfect for keeping note of all my tasks and setting myself deadlines/goals.

2. Having a couple of notebooks on my desk means I can separate my blog and university work easily. My Sugar Paper Gold and Pink notebook is perfect for making to do lists and jotting down uni deadlines whereas my The Paper Bunny Some Kind of Wonderful notebook is where I write blogpost ideas and plan my photography process.

3. Desk side beauty is my favourite part of my desk, I keep it all on a marble H&M tray which is the ideal size for a hand cream, lip balm and diffuser. Right now, I've got the & Other Stories Fig Hand Lotion, Neal's Yard Lip Balm and The White Company Fig Diffuser, all of which I reach for throughout the day. In my desk side drawer, I keep my Beauty Parlour Makeup Bag* which has all things beauty related in that I'll use throughout the day, from hand creams to brushes, nail files and face mists, it's the perfect sized MU bag to have in your room or in your bag as it fits everything in.

4 .Scattered around my room I have some personalised bits which help make a uni room feel more homely. One of my favourite pieces is my JAZZ Vintage Playing Cards* from I Just Love It which add a personal touch to my room and looks great propped up on the shelving behind my bed. I also keep my JAZZ Chocolates* near my bed or desk to feed my sweet cravings throughout the day. I Just Love It have some amazing personalised gifts, I'm eyeing up the L.E.D Letter Lights next which will make a fab gift!

5. I like to break up my working day with some reading and so to the right of my laptop, I keep some magazines. I'm currently reading the SpaceNK Christmas Gift Guide and John Lewis Christmas Brochure, both of which are amazing for christmas present inspiration!

How do you decorate your room/workspace and keep it a place for inspiration?
