The October Face
Along with the cold mornings, crispy leaves and endless hot drinks, I also love the beauty side of Autumn. With the cold weather comes a fresher base, neutral cheeks and berry lips. A creamy bronze shadow is my favourite kind of eye look and blending different shades together is a great way to create a subtle champagne smokey eye. I tend to switch up my lipstick and blush throughout the week but there’s been a particular look I’ve worn almost every day.
For healthy, dewy skin I’ve been using my IASO BB Cream*. The creamy formula blends beautifully into the skin leaving you with a radiant complexion that has a light to medium buildable coverage and lasts all day on the skin. To conceal my dark circles and lift my eyes, I’ve been adding a touch of the Temple Spa Concealer*, which is incredibly light and moisturizing, providing coverage and hydration.
For naturally bronzed cheeks, NARS Laguna is my go to. The medium bronze toned powder is so finely milled it applies like silk to the skin, adding sun kissed bronzed skin without appearing powdery or matte. I’ve been loving my Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Dim Infusion this month as the marbled coral tone with white highlight adds a flush of colour but a soft ethereal glow from the pale highlight. To add some extra glow, I dust some Kevyn Aucoin Candlelight Highlight on the tops of my cheeks, own the bridge of my nose and on my cupids bow to enhance and illuminate my face.
I’ve been using Charlotte Tilbury Mesmerise Eyes in Jean as my every day subtle shadow, the consistency of these cream eye shadow is beautiful, they are incredibly pigmented and creamy, with a luxurious feel to them from the sleek packaging and the stunning bright champagne shade. For extra length and colour, I’ve been wearing my Urban Decay Perversion Lashes, it adds an immense amount of drama and curl, creating something that looks natural and can easily be taken from day to night. For extra definition on my brows, I've been creating a natural arch with my Hourglass Arch brow Sculpting Pencil. The light wax blends into the brows with ease creating a naturally fuller shape.
To keep my lips hydrated and moisturised, I’ve been using the Nuxe Reve De Miel Lip Balm every day with it’s thick waxy formula. As always, I’ve been lining my lips with Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk and if I’m after something more intense and bold then I use MAC Rebel.
