Summer Beauty Trends

One of my favourite things about summer, is all of the beautiful colours and shades that start appearing in our makeup bags and on our faces. Don't you just love the bright corals, the poppy pinks, peachy nails, tanned legs, sea green nails and bronzed up cheeks? With beachy waves, glowing skin and the return of the red lip there are so many exciting beauty trends happening this summer that all beauty bloggers will be embracing.

Starting with my most loved shade of all for this time of the year, we have the corals and the peaches. Whether it's a gloss for your lips, a blush or even a peachy champagne eye, I can't wait to test out different looks and find some new favourite products. Recommendations: Barry M Papaya Nail VarnishNARS Super Orgasm BlushSleek Rosegold BlushBenefit Cha Cha TintLipstick Queen Jungle Queen Lipstick.

Bare faced makeup is the go to look this season so with a little concealer here and there where you need it, us girls are taking on the makeup free skin. Heavily matte complexions are no longer with us and dewy, luminous skin has taken over with a pop of highlighter here and there. Recommendations: Estee Lauder BB Brush On GlowNARS IlluminatorsCharlotte Tilbury Super Model BodyIllamasqua Illuminator.

The return of the red lip is a real game changer in the beauty scenes this season, usually we see nude lips or a light gloss being paraded down the cat walk, but this year, hot, bright and red lips are top of the trend. Lipstick lovers will be pleased with this trend as brands are releasing new hues for a summer red, including Topshop in their new collection. We've seen the orange hues with Missoni, Burberry went for the bold scarlet red and Dolce and Gabbana rocked the smudged berry lip. Recommendations: Topshop Beguiled LipstickNARS Semi Matte Lipstick in Jungle RedNARS Audacious Lipstick in LivMaybelline Lipstick in Electric Orange

Moving away from the same old pastel blues and pinks with the odd mushroom brown and a light grey here and there, on our nails this season will be blue-y greens with high shine or metallic finishes. Recommendations: Butter London British Racing Green and Essie Stylenomics.

A hue that is in most years when it comes to summer is the golden goddess shades. With a glowing tan, paired with a bronze highlight, metallic eye and a dusting of bronzer, you have achieved the ultimate holiday look. Recommendations: NARS South Beach MultipleEstee Lauder Bronze Goddess Illuminating PowderShimmering Body OilClarins Instant Light Booster.
