5 Summer Beauty Products For Under £10
I must admit that many of my beauty buys are on the more luxe side of things and I often find myself in Selfridges far too much picking up a few too many high end products, but when it comes to makeup and skincare, I allow myself to invest and indulge as good quality is essential when it comes to putting things on your face so I do enjoy splashing my cash in SpaceNK and Selfridges Beauty Hall, oh and if I'm in London, Liberty's is always a pleasure to visit... However, you can get some real goodun's in the drugstore, some even top my high end picks. Simply putting it, some things really aren't worth emptying your pockets for. Now, Boots is definitely one of my favourite places to visit, I always find myself 'popping' in for a new nail polish and coming out with £30 worth of stuff, oops, but along the way I have found some real gems which deserve a spot in your makeup bag and will see you through the Summer on a budget. For my top 5 drugstore picks for fresh summer makeup, keeeeeep readin'...
Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream (£9.99): Out of all the high street brands, Bourjois always seem to get the bases right and work their way into my favourites with each one, especially this CC Cream. If you're someone who's looking for a foundation alternative but still wants the coverage, then this is your guy. The thin creamy consistency applies seamlessly and blends like a dream into the skin, providing a very natural 'skin like' finish, but still offers a build-able coverage. With a dewy, satin finish, this is ideal for an every day base that is comfortable and long lasting with an SPF 15. Your summer skin sorted.
Revlon ColourBurst Lip Butter (£7.99): One of my favourite drugstore lipsticks and one of my favourite lip products for S/S. These creamy and hydrating pigmented butters are ideal for a natural lip with a shimmery finish and Peach Parfait, is my go - to peachy pink shade. If you're on the hunt for a new lipstick for Spring then I really recommend checking these out as they have an amazing shade range, they are so affordable and are of such high quality. Revlon have seriously pulled it out the bag with these.
No7 Eye Shadow (£7): You all know I'm not one to jazz up my eyes too much on a day to day basis, so as you can imagine as Summer approaches, I keep it even more subtle and simple. Whether it's a cream shadow stick or one of these small single shadows, I'm always reaching for them. For me, you can't go wrong with a light pink shade for Spring (Sorbet Shine) and with something as pigmented, long lasting and blend-able as these, your eyes are sorted in a flash.
Revlon Highlighting Palette (£8.99): Don't we all dream of an all in one bronze, blush and highlight palette that does it all and isn't £32.50? (Bobbi Brown) Well ladies & gents, your hunt is over as Revlon deliver the perfect face palette and the only powder cheek product you'll need for this Summer. This little compact palette is basically glowing, highlighted, sculpted and bronzed cheeks in a black case. Everything about it is to love from the 5 shades to the sun kissed look it gives your skin.
No7 Instant Radiance Stick (£9.95): What is any makeup look without a dose of highlighter to amp up the glow? For a natural looking, sublte pearlescent pink highlight, you need to grab one of these. The creamy stick blends beautifully on top of makeup, no smudging or budging or smearing away your foundation, they sit together like two peas in a pod. As they glide onto the skin they leave a flattering beam of radiance that catches the light and brightens your face. If you're into Benefit High Beam, then you'll be digging this, it's basically high beam in stick form.
