Nail Favourites #4

Having done a tonne of beauty and skincare posts recently, I thought it was time to share with you the 4th of my nail favourites and talk to you about the shades I have been wearing on my nails the most recently. I'm still sticking with the Spring-ish theme of pastels and pale shades, with the one exception and despite wearing one shade for about a month, I'm finally starting to mix things up a bit (although they are still very much mint, pale blue and pink dominated).

THE NUDE - Rimmel Soul Sessions. A beautiful dusky rose that is a sophisticated chic nude. This is such a pretty colour, making it perfect for the day time or something neutral in the evening and in terms of formula, it applies really smoothly and I use about two coats for an opaque nail. I neglected this shade for a while but now it is back, better than ever and making a regular appearance on my nails!

THE BLUE - Barry M Eat My DustIf your not into the pinky hues then this is probably going to be more up your street. This is the colour I literally cannot stop wearing. I wore it throughout the whole of April basically and am still layering it on! It's a cornflower blue and isn't one of the super sickly pastels that come out for Summer, it has more of a lilac-y tone to it than a white tone. The formula does exactly what it says on the bottle, it dries in seconds and is so easy to apply.

THE PINK - Kiko Bois De Rose. This one manages to come out all year around but definitely has more outings at this time of the year. This isn't the typical pastel pink shade that I crack out at this time of the year, it's a very much dusky shade like soul sessions, does a lot more pink. I always forget how much I love Kiko polishes until this one comes out and I then fall in love all over again with the formula, application and finish.

THE MINT - Essie Mint Candy Apple. Oh yes, it's here again, but it is the best ever mint nail polish out there, it's been a favourite for years now and I am yet to find a shade that beats it. It's a serious mint shade, pale, pastel-y and perfect with a smooth application. I do forget how much you have to layer this one up, 3 layers does the job fine for an opaque shine but any less is too see through and streaky looking. However, all can be forgiven Candy Apple with your beautiful finish and the way you look on my nails.

THE DARK - & Other Stories Cobweb Coal. I'm kinda ruining the whole classic Spring, pastel/pale nail polishes here, but to mix things up abit when I'm bored of having pale nails then this is my go to. The blue-y grey shade gives a beautiful metallic finish that lasts for days without chipping and you only need two coats with this one, making the whole application process a lot easier.
