Hydration Heroes

Ignoring the fact that my skin has been pretty good recently in terms of dryness and hydration levels, I still dose it up with all sorts of different moisturising products to keep it soft, smooth n silky. The feeling of dry itchy skin on my body is something I hate and something that makes me feel incredibly uncomfortable so I try to keep it as hydrated as I can all the time by having a good daily body and skin routine. One of the best ways to keep your skin hydrated of course is drinking plenty of water throughout the day but you can also find products that are like a glass of water for the skin and will give you that extra bit of hydration you need. Looking after your body is just as important as looking after your skin and it is crucial to moisturise them every day, both morning and evening. With 7 must have products, here are my hydration heroes...

Nobody wants to go through life with cracked heels and dry feet so grab yourself a tube of Soap & Glory Heel Genius and slather on a layer or two like me before bed for super soft feet. This stuff is like a pedicure in a tube, (only without the ability to paint your nails) but it literally transforms dry feet over night, sorts out those pesky cuticles and works as an intensive mask for your feet. The pale green cream contains peppermint so once applied, it feels incredibly cooling and refreshing whilst it soaks in over night. Keeping my hands moisturised is something I do a number of times throughout the day and you will always find me layering on a cream. I've recently picked up The Body Shop Vitamin E Hand & Nail Cream and so far so good. This one lives in my bag and whenever I need a pick me up, I'll take a squeeze of this, let it soak in and I am good to go with moisturised hands and soft cuticles.

A luxury product like the REN Moroccan Rose Otto Body Cream will keep your body hydrated and smelling like roses all day. The thick, rich and intense lotion absorbs into the skin leaving you hydrated and soothed with replenished skin. Made with rose oil and petals, this really is the most luxurious way of hydrating your skin without spending a day in the spa and when used daily, you will never see a dry patch again. For something that isn't so rich (or expensive) then the & Other Stories Body Souffles are a great option. The whipped body creams are still incredibly nourishing and keep your skin soft and silky, you just don't get the luxury of the beautiful rose scent and natural rose ingredients, but that doesn't mean it doesn't get the job done.

Keeping my face hydrated is my favourite part and layering on the products to give me the ultimate home facial is the perfect way to start and end my day. If my skin is feeling dehydrated or a bit grubby throughout the day, then a face mist is a great way to give me an instant refresher and cool down. TheJurlique Rosewater Balancing Mist is an all time favourite, but at the moment, I've been sticking with something more affordable and The Body Shop Face Mist has been coming around in my bag with me every day. If my skin is feeling dull and parched mid week, then I will reach for my Super Facialist Rose Moisture Mask for an instant fix. The soft rose creates a lovely subtle scent to your face and the thick cream really feels like it's doing the job and boosting up those hydration levels. To finish of the hydration routine then something for your lips is needed. Keeping it cheap and cheerful, the  Nivea Lip Butter nourishes, hydrates and softens but if you're after something more luxurious and high end, then By Terry Baume De Rose is an all time favourite.
