Weekly Favourites #5
There's been a few repeated products on my face this week but I have a couple of newbies to tell you about. I haven't actually been wearing much makeup all week and have had a few no makeup days which has made my skin super smooth and hydrated, but I am looking forward to testing out some new makeup looks next week and mixing around with my products. With some products for the perfect nights sleep, a new favourite blue polish, the ultimate baked blush palette, a cream stick that does it all and a mascara which transforms your eye lashes, here are this weeks favourites...
After wearing Barry M Eat My Dust on my nails for weeks, I've finally mixed things up and switched over to something else; Lola Bluebell. Although it is still a blue, it's not so pastel and pale, I've moved onto something a little more on the bluebell blue side of things. It's actually one of the most long lasting nail varnishes I've tried, chip free with a slight shine finish once dried. I'm really into my blues, lilacs and pale greys for Srping this year, so you'll be seeing a lot of colours like this on the blog.
There are two types of blusher I like wearing for Spring; the cream and the baked. This Makeup Revolution Ultra Blush Palette in Golden Sugar is the ultimate palette for any blush lovin' girl. The selection of pinks, mauves, bronzes and highlights makes it perfect for an every day look and evening, and with the blush, bronze and highlight shades available, you have your face finished in one palette, and in my case with one brush. To really brighten up my cheeks the last couple of days I've been reaching for the pale pink shimmer shade which is a really fresh pink for Spring.
For the cream blush or no blush days, then I go for a cream bronzer and my NARS South Beach Multiple is ideal. The golden brown shade is perfect for subtly warming up the skin and adding some definition back into my face. I definitely wouldn't contour with this as it is shimmery, but for a cream bornzer it is beautiful. The formula is so creamy and blend-able, it glides on with ease and you can effortlessly blend it in your fingers or a stippling brush.
Although I am completely, totally and utterly obsessed with my Charlotte Tilbury mascara, there is a new lash lengthener in town. The Urban Decay Perversion Mascara* has won me over with the medium sized brush, the soft bristles and the intense black product. Only one stroke is needed with this magic wand and you are left with bigger, blacker and fuller eyes.
When I'm stressed with exams and coursework deadlines, I like to make sure I am fully relaxed in the evenings and have a goods night sleep. A product which has been an absolute life saver for me is the This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray and the Deep Sleep Stress Less Oil. These products are infused with herbal and lavender scents which when spritzed onto the pillow and rolled onto the wrists, I am left to fully relax and have a good nights sleep. As soon as this has locked onto my pillow and into my skin, I am straight to sleep and don't wake up until the morning.
