Budget Beauty Alternatives

We all have our high end loves and products that just cannot be replaced, but there is nothing better than finding a budget dupe for the most wanted high end products, especially when they are all about half the price! If you're ready for a makeup re-stock or are thinking of updating your makeup bag for Spring but aren't so keen on spending all your money, then head down to Boots as there are so many amazing products out there which are just as good as the luxury picks. I've rustled up some current favourite drugstore loves which are pretty much identical to their high end partners.

Urban Decay Naked Concealer (£17.50) | Rimmel Wake Me Up (£5.49): For concealing my under eye bags and covering any dark circles, my Urban Decay concealer is perfect; creamy, blend-able and has a decent coverage, but coming in at £17 it is a pricy one to re-purchase over and over again. This is where Rimmel have saved the day, the wake me up concealer is identical in consistency, if not even creamier and more hydrating. I actually prefer the way my makeup looks when I use this one! If you're looking for a budget concealer, similar to Urban Decay or NARS Creamy Concealer, then this is an awesome dupe.

Laura Mercier Cavair Stick (£22) | GOSH Shadow Stick (£5.99): The Laura Mercier Caviar Sticks are definitely one of the most talked about products on my blog, they have popped up in numerous blog posts, here & here and are just the best shadow sticks I've tried. I love everything from the sleek packaging, to the creamy creamy formula's, the colours, they are just incredible... but lots of brands have now brought out very similar eye pencils which can be found at half the price. My favourite ones have got to be the ones from Gosh, the formula's are very similar, the colour range is prettyyyy good and they are so so long lasting.

Benefit Watt's Up (£24.50) |  No7 Instant Radiance Highlighter* (£9.95): When it comes to highlighter, I love a really champagne, gold shade which subtly illuminates my face and makes me glow. Benefit always seem to get their highlighters right, and Watt's Up is an old favourite of mine which I've been using for years but having recently started using my No7 highlighter, I've realised just how similar they are and that I've actually been preferring the finish of it... The formula is super creamy and blends into my makeup seamlessly, lasting all day and adding a subtle highlight. The colours are basically the same, Watt's Up may be a little more gold, but all in all, they are very comparable products.

NARS Blusher (£23) | Sleek Blusher (£4.49): I've actually dedicated an entire blogpost about how similar the NARS and Sleek blushers are, when it comes down to the formula, pigmentation, lasting power and the colour range, they are very similar blushers. Both come in sleek black packaging and Sleek have a dupe shade for nearly every NARS shade, Rosegold being an identical colour match for Super Orgasm/Orgasm. If you're a fan of the NARS blushers but can't bare to spend £24 on one, then definitely give the Sleek blushers a go.

Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick (£32.50) | Revlon Shimmer Brick* (£8.99): For instant warmth, colour and glow, then the Bobbi Brown shimmer bricks are absolutely ideal. The pigmented blocks of colour blend beautifully into the skin and really brighten your skin. The bronze shade includes 4 different stripes of colour and adds a deep bronzy glow, but there is the best possible dupe in town for this one. Revlon have brought out their version of the shimmer brick which comes in 2 shades; Bronze Glow being the exact same shades as the BB Bronze Brick. Pigmentation, colour, glowy-ness and longevity are the same for each product, just Revlon's is available for more than half the price... Yes please.

NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil (£17.50) | Maybelline Colour Drama (£4.99): This is probably one of my favourite ever dupes discovered and one that none of you can miss. As you all know, I am a huge fan of the NARS lip pencils, they are just incredible. Bahama is the perfect nude shade for me and the matte finish is ideal for every day or evening, but there is actually a much more affordable pencils available, which have become favourites of mine now and will always be in my 'top drugstore picks'. These Maybelline pencils are so incredible, the colour Nude Perfection is actually very similar to Bahama and their reds are perfect matches for the NARS reds. The creamy, hydrating and long lasting formulas are apparent in both and both have the classic sharpen style pen.
