March Favourites

I must admit I am pretty excited for this months favourites as I've discovered some absolutely life changing products over the past month. Some golden oldies and some new to both me and JHM, there is an eye shadow palette I have fallen completely in love with, an nail polish that used to live on my nails, a whole new eye brow routine which I am lovvvving and a low maintenance lip I am chucking on most days.

Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream: The bases of all bases that gave me hope in the drugstore foundations/BB/CC creams. For S/S I much prefer keeping my base a little lighter and something I can slap on in a rush, don't get me wrong, I am still obsessed with NARS Sheer Glow but sometimes all I need is a little coverage and Bourjois have got that covered for me with this. Light, long lasting, a colour match made in heaven and it still gives me glowing, radiant skin. Oh & this one takes about 10 seconds to apply. This one has been sticking around in my makeup bag quite a lot recently and I was using it religiously at the beginning of the month and it is now time to bring it back.

Urban Decay Naked Concealer:

This has been by far one of my best beauty buys this month and a new concealer love. If you're into NARS Creamy Concealer than I can assure you that you will be digging this one. The applicator makes the whole concealer application so much easier- it's super flexible and the doe-foot tip picks up the perfect amount for the whole face (if not a little tooo much). The lightest shade is perfect for brightening my under eye area and the pigmented formula means it lasts really well on the skin. After trying this, I don't think I will be trying out any more high end concealers for a while.

This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray: To help me really relax when I get into bed and to help me have a better nights sleep altogether, I have been spritzing some of this onto my pillow before I hop into bed and I actually think it really makes a difference to how I sleep. The lavender scent is incredibly soothing, sending me to sleep a lot quick than usual.

Essie Mint Candy Apple: When I'm in a mint nail mood then this is the shade I will forever be reaching for. It's definitely a 3 coat job, but the pale minty green is just one of my favourite Essie shades and throughout March, it seems to have appeared on my nails a number of times.

NO7 BB Lips: Ever heard of the Clarins Light Perfecting Lip Balms? Well, here is an identical dupe for half the price. The only difference being the applicator, likewise to the Clarins gloss', these are smooth, non sticky, pigmented and moisturising. For 'no makeup, makeup days' this perfect peach gloss provides a sheer tint of colour, keeping it natural but adding a little more than wearing nothing at all.

NARS Brow Gel Coconut Groove Eyeshadow: After being a huge fan of the Eyeko brow gel for such a long time, it is time to go our separate ways... NARS have blown it off the fence with their creamy and pigmented gel that distributes colour as if I am filling them in properly and fixes them in place all day. If I don't have time to do the full brow then I'll just brush them through with this or when I've got a bit of extra time and want something more defined, NARS Coconut Groove Eyeshadow comes out to play. This is the perfect eye brow shade for me, a dark chocolate brown which is so finely milled it lightly dusts through my hairs and adds the structure back in.

Sleek Rose Gold Blush: As explained in my NARS Blush Dupe post; Sleek blushers are a new favourite of mine and I've actually been wearing this particular shade on the tops of my cheeks for the last 4 days, which is very rare as I usually mix my blush up each day. For spring I want something that's going to look natural so this pink coral with golden shimmer running through it is the perfect option for adding a pop of colour.

Benefit Cha Cha Tint: One of the main things I love about spring makeup is all the coral and peach makeup that we can finally wear. For a fresh flush of colour, I have been dabbing this mango - orange liquid blush onto the apples of my cheeks and sometimes I'll stain my lips with it, to keep everything looking crisp.

MAC 187 Duo Fibre Face Brush: If there is a brush made for foundation, bronzer, blusher, powder then this is the one, you can literally use it for anything you want to. I've been using this to apply my bronzer throughout March and the results are fab. The bristles pick up very little product so don't apply too much product and turn you into an oompa loompa, I simply swirl the brush around in my bronzer and lightly dust it over my temples, cheeks and down my neck to add some warmth and definition to my face.

NARS Dual Intensity Eye Shadow Palette: Saving the best until last, this is definitely my best purchase of the month- the eye palette all girls will ever need. With a mixture of pale pinks, a bronze, a deep navy, a matte brown (you get the jist) you have every colour you need to create basically any makeup look and it's only Β£45 which seeing as the single shadows go for Β£21, it is a palette to good to miss. I've been reaching for this nearly everyday of the month, whether I'm just using one shade for a light wash of pink or I'm mixing together the bronze and brown shade for a strong evening eye.
