Today's Makeup #4 - The Spring Face

It's time for another makeup menu and it is time for my ultimate spring face, including the products I have been using constantly at the moment. For me, spring is all about glowing skin, fresh pink cheeks, a neutral pink glossy lip and a really simple eye. I have been loving my NARS products recently so there is a lot of NARS in here, with some old brand favourites and a new mascara love. With a medium coverage foundation, this is a look I would wear on the days I need a little extra coverage but I would also wear this as an evening makeup look. Keeping the lip and eyes really simple, creates a focus on the pink cheeks which is what I think spring makeup is all about. Here is what I have been slapping on my face this Spring...

You all know by now that I love glowing bases and I don't think there is a better foundation than NARS Sheer Glow to give me the radiant, illuminated skin I crave. This has been a favourite foundation ever since I got it and you're probably all bored of how much I go on and on about it, but it really is the best. I apply a small amount of this to my skin and blend, blend, blend with my Real Techniques Complexion Sponge. To amp up the glow even more, instead of using a high coverage concealer, I've been using my

Estee Lauder BB Brush on Glow  concealer pen, which is much lighter and adds that extra glow, but still covers my dark circles. To add some warmth and structure, of course I am going in with my favourite ever bronzer; NARS Laguna and to highlight, I have a new favourite, the No7 Illuminator Stick* which is the perfect dupe for Benefit Watts Up. This adds a beautiful subtle shimmer to my cheek bones and blends seamlessly into my foundation. For blusher in Spring, I try to avoid the powders and love wearing a cream, I find they are so much lighter and healthy looking and my Philosphy Blush in Lit From Within  provides the perfect amount of pink, not too bright, nor too shimmery, it just perks up my cheeks and looks very spring like. (If that makes sense)

Keeping the eyes as simple as I can, I swipe my trusty Laura Mercier Caviar Stick in Rose Gold all over the lid for wash of light champagne gold. To really awaken and brighten my eyes, I use my Pixi Crayon Combo in Wide Awake which is a simple nude shade and this just makes them stand out that little extra and makes me look more awake. A product I am very excited about is the  NARS Larger Than Life Mascara - a new favourite in the mascara pot and boy is it goooood. The intense black coats my lashes, giving my volume, length and drama. An all round, 'do it all' mascara. I don't do too much with my brows these days, if I'm going out in the evening then I'll use my Kevin Aucoin Precision Brow Pencil or my NARS Eye Shadow in Coconut Groove, but for day time, I just brush them through with my NARS Brow Gel for a bit of structure and some colour.

To finish of the look, I apply a neutral gloss to add some shine to the lips and the By Terry Lip Gloss in Honey Moon Kiss is my favourite for this at the moment. The perfect pink shade goes beautifully with the champagne eyes and really compliments the blush. I mix between this gloss and my No7 BB Lips throughout the week and sometimes I'll just add a lip balm to keep it really natural.
