The REN Skin Boosters
I've been a real skincare addict recently, constantly testing out new products and seeing what I can squeeze into my morning/evening routine. Despite mixing between products, I do have a set skincare regime which I stick too and like every makeup routine, we all have our staple skincare products that we just cannot live without. I've been using REN skincare for a while now, starting with a couple of moisturisers, then venturing onto the masks and scrubs and my most recent product love has been the Vita Mineral range, with the Omega Oil and Active 7 Eye Gel being the firm favourites. For plump, glowing skin with no dark circles to be seen, let me tell you about these awesome products.
There are so many oils available now, dry oils, balancing oils, oils for blemish prone skin, there is an oil out there for everyone, but for me, this is my oil. The REN Omega 3 Optimum Skin Serum Oil is the best option for something that feels light but is full of hydration and nourishment. This oil is packed with fatty acids and rose hip oil, all of which soothe, renew and restore moisture levels whilst tackling scars at the same time. I use this in the mornings and evenings before my moisturiser and my skin is instantly more radiant, plump and youthful looking. To apply this, I dispense about 1 pump into my hands, rub it together andd lightly pat it onto my face, letting the oils absorb into my clean skin. For me, this is the just the ultimate hydration booster my skin needs and at a pretty reasonable price of £25, it is a lot more affordable than other hydration boosters around. It hasn't been until the past 8-ish months that I've been using an eye cream/gel as part of my skincare regime. I used to worry that they would be too rich for my eye area and cause puffiness, but it turns out, I was just testing the wrong products and needed something that was light, but still did it's job.
This was then the REN Vita Mineral Active 7 Eye Gel made it's way onto my bathroom shelf. As I am only 18, I don't have any wrinkles around/under my eye area, I just wanted something to keep it hydrated and to stop my concealer drying. Although I do believe that using skincare products from a young age, prevents any skincare problems in the long run... Anyway, onto the actual product now not what my eye area is doing! This light, clear gel is incredibly cooling which helps to reduce any puffiness, awaken the eye area, brighten, treat and hydrate. I dispense about half a pump onto my ring fingers which is the perfect amount for both eyes and I gently tap it on in an 'O' motion. All of the essential ingredients including rose water, arnica and chinese ginsing, help to soothe and firm, refresh, boost circulation, reduce puffiness and boost moisture levels. I absolutely swear by this little tube, since using it my eye area is noticeably brighter due to the reduction of dark circles. The tube is £20 and it lasts at least 6 months which is amazing. A little goes a long way...
