The Guide To Coral Makeup

With spring and summer approaching us pretttyyy quickly, I am starting to bring out my staple makeup pieces that I love wearing throughout the seasons. When summer comes, I am allll about peaches and corals, lips, cheeks, nails, I fully embrace dem shades. I don't know if it's just me, but I am kindaaaa bored of the standard pink blush or a plum blush paired with a dark lip, I am so over A/W and so ready for S/S makeup. With a couple of nail varnishes paired with some lip and cheek fun, here are my peach hues I am loving...

Starting with cheeks, some people find coral shades hard to wear and us pale girls think they only suit darker skin tones, but you are wrong. There is a coral blush out there for you all, cream, liquid, powder, stick form or pan, you all deserve one. For me, Benefit have got their coral hues down to a T, the whole Coralista collection is fab and I proudly own them all... For a super fresh and dewy blush, Cha Cha Tint (swatch 1) is your best friend, this mango cheek tint adds a beautiful tropical kiss to the skin, it makes your cheeks glow and leaves you looking sun kissed for hours. This looks even better with a tan and compliments tanned skin beautifully. Now, CORALista Blush (I didn't have this at home with me when I took the photo, ooops) is a gorgeous warm coral which perfectly perks up cheeks and suits literally every skintone. More of a cream blush girl? Fear no more, Benefit have got that one sorted also... Majorette is the ultimate peach shade which gives a natural boost of colour.

Lips can be quite hard to pull off in the world of corals, but if you get the right shade then you can rock it like you rock any other lipstick shade. My favourite? Benefit Coralista Ultra Plush Lip Gloss (swatch 2) Non sticky, smooth and adds a subtle hint of sheer coral, making your lips look juicy and plump. Paired with  CORALista blush, you have just aced the perfect partners makeup. Cheek tint in Cha Cha is also the best lip tint on the block, this leaves a super natural stain on the lips and looks even better with CORALista lip gloss on top. If you are all for wearing coral makeup but are after something that doesn't scream 'hello I'm here' then Anthropologie Lip Treatment (swatch 5) is your new favourite thing. Sheer and subtle but still adds that hint of colour you're after. Oh and did I mention they are ultra moisturising?

Something I do LOVE about SS makeup is the amazing coral nail varnishes that come out all at once... With a tan I practically live in these colours, they are so flattering in summer and if you're wearing coral hues on your face then why not wear it on your nails? Barry M Gelly Hi Shine in Papaya (swatch 3) is a warm mango colour which is pigmented, long lasting and has a beautiful gloss finish. For £3.99, what could go wrong? However, if you're after something on the more pastel peach side of things then Nails Inc Bruton Place (swatch 4) is the one you need. Lighter in colour than Barry M but is just as pigmented and long lasting, making it the perfect pastel summer nail.

What shades of coral/peach will you be wearing this S/S?
