The Fresh & Dewy 5-10 Minute Makeup
I have been really mixing up my makeup at the moment and as you may have seen in my
Spring Makeup Menu, I am moving away from the matte lips and bronzey, gold eye shadow and saying hello to the light base and adding natural flushes of colour. I am bringing back an old lipstick favourite, a staple bronzer and a BB cream which is working it's way up into my favourites pile... In all in all this takes about 5 minutes, perfect for mornings when you don't have much time but still want something that will last and stay fresh all day.
To start the base off I'm using my
Vichy BB Cream in the shade Light and I quickly buff this all the way into my skin with my
Real Techniques Expert Face Brush for a skin like natural finish. To brighten under my eyes and for a bit of extra coverage where I need it, I take my
Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer in Ivory. For days when I don't need to conceal much this concealer is perfect as it's light enough for under the eye but covers any small blemishes and to blend this in I take the same brush and go over with my fingers for a really flawless finish. Moving straight onto bronzer now, I am using my all time favourite,
NARS Laguna on my
Real Techniques Blush Brush and I don't want too much bronzer today as I'm keeping it nice and natural so I gently sweep this along my cheeks, temples and jaw to add some warmth into my skin. For cheeks I'm taking my
NARS Super Orgasm Blush which is a peachy pink with gold shimmer running through it. I take the product onto my
Clinique Blush Brush and blend it onto the apples of my cheeks to perk them up. You could add a highlighter at this point, but because my base is very dewy and the blush is pretty shimmery, I'm going to the leave the base here.
To sort out my brows, I'm sticking with my all time favourite
Eyeko Brow Gel which straightens them out, adds some colour and keeps them in place all day. For eye shadow I am keeping it very simple with a
Laura Mercier Caviar Stick in Sugar Frost which is an amazing light champagne gold. I apply this straight onto the lid and then blend it out with my fingers. What's so great about these sticks is that they look like you've put a whole lot more effort in than the 10 seconds you actually took... To finish of the eyes by adding length, drama and curl I'm using my
Charlotte Tilbury Full Fat Lash Mascara which I have found myself reaching for most days recently. Keeping things simple on the lip, I'm using a lip product I wore throughout summer last year, the
Revlon Lip Butter in Strawberry Shortcake which is a lovely subtle 'your lips but better' pink with a slight shine finish.
So that is the finish look for a really easy, fresh makeup look that won't take you any longer than 10 minutes and is perfect for Spring. If you're after a little more coverage than you can switch up the base to a foundation of your choice and by applying a radiant primer underneath, you can get the glow to shine through for a just as dewy base.
