I don't think I've ever dedicated a post just to my foundation routine, I've mentioned numerous foundations in different posts from reviews to Face Of The Days but never a focussed base routine. Seeing as I've recently bought three new products, as seen in my Haul, it seemed like perfect timing!

My skin has been feeling a lot drier recently from the cold air and my very hot uni room so my foundation just hasn't been sitting properly on my skin or blending in seamlessly. When I was at the NARS counter I spoke to a lady and she suggested using a primer to ensure a much smoother foundation application so I picked up the NARS Pro Prime Multi Protection Primer and it has helped sooo much, the difference in my makeup application has completely changed. I will now always wear a primer!

After applying a layer of primer with my fingers, I moved onto foundation and as you all know, when it comes to foundation, I am all about that glowwwww. I've been wanting a new foundation for a while now and NARS Sheer Glow has been on my wish list for a very long time so I thought it was time to see what all the fuss is about. I am in love with this foundation since trying it, it's a perfect everyday foundation with a dewy, medium coverage finish and it lasts all day. I apply 1 pump of this all over my face, one on each cheek, forehead, nose/chin and blend it all together with either my Real Techniques Expert Face Brush or when I have more time, I use my Real Techniques Mircale Sponge. I do find you have to take time working this into the skin to make sure it's all blending properly, but once it is, it is flawless.

To finish of my base, I will always use a concealer. A new one in my collection is the Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer and I am soooo impressed. I got one shade lighter than my skin tone in this as I wanted something to really brighten my under eye area and this does just the job. The creamy texture dots on easily and blends out beautifully with my Miracle Sponge. My entire under eye area instantly appears brighter and has a 'lit from within' glow to it.

So there is my updated foundation/concealer routine! On days when I wear makeup, these are the 3 products I will use for my base, it creates such glowing skin and lasts me all day.
