Spring/Summer Blush Collection
As we move on from the cold winter months and leave the neutral blushers behind with them, it's time to get your bright blushers out of hibernation and bring back the pink cheeks. I love bright blushers, peach and corals and really embrace the natural beauty with flushed cheeks. 5 powders and 2 creams, here are the blushers I will be wearing throughout Spring.
My most picked shade out of the 7 has got to be my NARS Multiple in Orgasm as it's just the most beautiful warm pink colour with golden shimmer. I adore the cream consistency of these eye, lip and cheek sticks, it makes them so easy to apply and creates such a fresh look to my skin. I use my fingers to apply this as it gives the most natural finish and the colour lasts well on my skin.
Whilst were on the theme of cream products, next up is the Philosophy Super Natural Lit From Within Cream Blush in Look on the Bright Side. (this was a present to my mum from family in Australia so I could only find it on Amazon!) This is the perfect pink for that bright yet subtle pop of colour. The creamy and blendable formula, I find is best applied with a stippling brush as it picks up the perfect amount of colour for dewy cheeks.
For me, these next two blushers are the best high end ones available. NARS Super Orgasm is a beautiful peachy pink with gold glitter and is a really wearable shade giving a natural golden glow. The other NARS blush I adore is Torrid, a warm coral with golden shimmer. This isn't as glittery as Super Orgasm is as the powder is more tightly packed together, giving a more matte finish.
Next up is actually a drugstore option and the newest addition to my blusher draw! My Sleek Blush in Rose Gold is very similar to my NARS blushers in terms of packaging, formula and longevity. My shade Rose Gold is the perfect dupe for NARS Orgasm so if you love that then you will love this. The golden peach shade applies beautifully to my cheeks, brightening up my complexion and giving my skin some colour and life.
An all time favourite of mine is my MAC Blush in Well Dressed. I really love MAC blushers, I think they are pretty affordable and have a really great colour selection to suit any skin tone and occasion. Well Dressed is a really pretty pale dusky pink and I actually featured it in my Neutral Blusher post as I find it works really well as a Winter shade also. This stays on the skin all day and works beautifully with both a nude, red or plum lip, I really cannot fault this one!
Finally we have the most beautifully packaged blusher of all time, the beloved Clinique Cheek Pop in Berry Pop. This is such a vibrant but natural looking shade that leaves no sign of powder on the skin. This feels so bouncy in the pot, you could look at it and mistake it for a creak blush! It applies as a silky smooth chalk-less powder. I absolutely adore this blush and is one that I will be using from Spring through to Autumn. Full review here!
