Estėe Lauder Double Wear Light, a.k.a) The New Foundation Favourite

In the beauty and blogger world, Estēe Lauder Double Wear is probably one of the most hyped about foundations out there. If you're looking for a full coverage, semi matte finish then that is the foundation for you. I've only ever had testers of double wear, and yes, it makes your skin look flawless but it is very high coverage and I prefer something lighter on my skin. After testing out different foundations, I came across this hidden beauty which I didn't even know existed! The sister for double wear, just a lighter version? Yes please! Introducing Estēe Lauder Double Wear Light and why it is so fabulous...

This light weight, build-able medium coverage foundation with a natural 'my skin but better' finish is perfect for those who are after something a little more sheer for the Spring/Summer. The consistency is surprisingly quite thick, but when applied with a buffing brush it blends out beautifully and doesn't create a mask on my skin but is still pretty matte and doesn't melt or disappear off my face! Speaking of disappearing, the lasting power of this foundation is incredible, claiming to last 15 hours, all I can say is that it is true. I've applied this in the morning and by the end of the evening my makeup is all in one place and hasn't gone patchy or slipped off my T zone. Despite this supposedly being a lighter version of Double Wear, the coverage is still pretty good and covers any redness, imperfections, blemishes or open pores whilst still letting my skin breathe. The application of this is incredibly easy and smooth as it glides onto the skin but you need to be quick to buff/blend it out as it sets quickly to it's long lasting finish.

The slim bottle packaging is great for travelling or just carrying around in your makeup bag as it isn't bulky or heavy, the only thing I would change with the packaging is the squeeze tube as sometimes too much comes out and no one likes to waste an expensive foundation! In terms of who I would recommend this to... If you have oily skin this is the foundation for you, normal/dry like my skin type, this too will suit you just make sure you wear a hydrating moisturiser underneath and if you have very dry skin or lots of dry patches, I would probably avoid this as it is mattifying and may cling to your skin!

Available in 10 shades, you can pick this up in stores or online for £29.50.
