Winter Skincare Routine
As the weather gets colder, my skin gets dryer and so my skincare routine is adjusted to fit with what my skin needs. An intensive mask, oil based cleanser and a thick moisturiser tick all the boxes when it comes to what is on my shelf in the winter...
I always start with removing any eye makeup remover or any dirt that's built up over night with my Botanics Micellar 3 in 1 cleansing solution on cotton wool. To clean my skin in the morning I have been using The Body Shop Vitamin C Facial Cleansing Polish as the micro beads buff away any dead skin cells, leaving my skin feeling refreshed and looking radiant and dewy. I like to use an SPF in the day, which is why I love my No7 Beautiful Skin Day Cream as it has SPF 25. This moisturises my skin, keeping it hydrated and energised throughout the day.
I have recently started using a cleansing oil to remove my makeup in the evening as I find it takes my makeup off the best and it really helps rehydrate my skin. The one I find does this really well is The Body Shop Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil. I put two pumps of this into my palms and massage it into dry skin, all over my eyes and then use a warm muslin cloth to take it all away. If I'm having a no makeup day I will use my No7 Cleansing Lotion to remove any impurities and dirt. I like to do a mask in the evenings about twice a week and I have two which I have been reaching for, Elizabeth Arden Visible Difference Hydration Boost Night Mask and Clarins HydraQuench Cream Mask. Both these masks instantly replenish and rejuvenate my skin. I sometimes use Sanctuary Therapists Secret Facial Oil if I feel my skin is really lacking in radiance, followed by my No7 Beautiful Skin Night Cream.
